in this project we were tasked with dissecting a frog over the course of two weeks. we were given instructions on how to do the dissections and the necessary tools need for it. During this project my partner and I learned about the anatomy of a frog that allowed us to also learn more about our anatomy.
we learned about each body system in a frog and what it did for the frog. we dissected each part of the frog and used our prior knowledge on how each type of system worked to answer questions to better our understanding.
the body systems we learned about were the nervous, Respiratory, Circulatory, Muscular, Skeletal, Digestive, Endocrine integumentary, Immune/lymphatic, Reproductive, and Excretory.
Honestly I didn't really enjoy this project very much. I don't really like the idea of cutting open dead frogs and the smell made me nauseous. During this project I felt very distracted especially because we were doing this project the week before finals so I along with others were very stressed out and it made it difficult to focus on the task at hand. this project was an at your own pace kind of project and i really like that but I think that having set times that you should have certain things done by would have kept a lot of us more organised. at the end we had to really rush through it and I feel like i didn't absorb as much information as I could of with better time management. I think overall this project was ok but I know that it could have been better. rest in peace stevette
