Physics of sports video

What is a "Physics of sports video" ?

Our Teacher gave us the project of completing a video about improving a sport using physics. My group choose tennis as our sport mainly because we had a girl in our group that played tennis and because we didn't want to do the sports everyone else was doing. 

Our process  

We started by writing down the sports that we might've been interested in doing. then we asked around the classroom to see what other people were planning on doing to make sure that we didn't do the same thing as someone else. we gave each team member a veto just encase there was a sort they really did not want to do. after a majority vote on tennis we still had to figure out what aspect of tennis we wanted to focus on. after careful consideration we decided to do a tennis serve. 

now we had to actually film the video. at first we used Natalie fancy camera but that proved complicated for us so we ended up filming with one of our phones. Beatriz was our designated server because she was on the tennis team and because she already knew how to serve. that saved us some time. at first we didnt use our time wisely and we didnt plan well what we had to do to accomplish the video. eventually we sat down and made a list of what we needed to get done and completed each item from greatest importance to least importance. 

eventually the video was completed.

My Reflection 

I liked this project it was really fun to be doing something that we had a lot of creative freedom with. I didn't really enjoy the video aspect because my group just had a really hard time with getting our video to work. I really liked my group we got a lot of work done and once we figured out what we needed to do we were very productive. I think splitting our group into to really helped us accomplish what we wanted more efficiently. If we had figured out what we were doing towards the beginning of the project it would have been easier to get our video in on time. In the next projects I'm going to work on time management.
