Intergalactic Planetary

Process:

In this project we had to make many models, starting from model 1 all the way to model 5. The first one we made was solely based on the information we already know. Model 2 was either based off of an accurate distance from the sun or the size of the planets, we chose size. Model 3 we added more information and listed the days and orbital period of each planet. In Model 4, we predicted the orbital speed of Planet X. We did this by using the distance from the sun and orbital period, and using the equation 5654e^4.89E-04x we got planet X's  orbital speed is about 3.104 km/s. In Model 5, we made four more prediction and computed the orbital period and weight of ourselves on Planet X, Planet Y and Earth.

Other models:

Content:

Tangential force - the reason why the moon is orbiting around earth but isn't crashing into earth.

Inverse square law - the further you are from a light source the less concentrated because the light is spreading over a larger area.

Orbital Speed - the speed at which a planet orbits around a more massive planet.

Equations:

Orbital speed - (v^2= √GM/r)

Force of gravity - (F = Gm1m2/r²)

The orbit period - (T = 2πd/v)

Reflection:

Overall I liked this project and working with my partner. Two things that I did well was communication and making sure everything was aesthetically pleasing. I was communicating with my partner and I felt like we worked really well together and getting the work done. Two things I could of done better with this project is creativity and probably understating the material better, even though the content was confusing and even frustrating at times I still completed this project and now know how to do it.
