Equipment used in the training program must be of the type and quality found to provide training to meet the program goals and performance objectives. The facilities must be appropriate for the variety of learning activities which occur in the LPS classrooms.
We have two adjoining learning environments.
Room 805 is our skills lab, and Room 806 is our didactic classroom.
Our Ambulance Simulator is built to exact industry standard specifications, both interior and exterior.
We also have the ability to securely lock it.
Our classroom is able to seat up to 30 students. We utilize portable chairs and tables so they can be easily be moved for group projects, class discussions, or bringing the skills into the classroom. The classroom is also equipped with locked file cabinets and locked instructor desks for storage of confidential records and to ensure that administrative needs can be stored securely.
Skills Lab Room 805:
Our skills lab facilitates our ambulance simulator, as well as our all of our medical and Fire Tech supplies. We have the advantage of having two adjoining classrooms which allows the instructor to seamlessly connect lecture and hands-on skills for our students.
Our classroom is equipped with everything necessary under California Department of Education.
We have a projector screen for videos and lectures, as well as a moveable, touch screen ViewSonic that can be utilized both in the didactic room and the skills lab.
Students have school-provided Chromebooks as well as ample charging stations.
A clear and structured equipment check-out policy governs responsible use and extends learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
All of our tools and equipment reflect current industry practices and align with our skills based learning to ensure students will be work force ready upon completion of our course.
