Fun Things To Do Over The Holidays

Winter break is just around the corner, so here are some fun ways to enjoy the ice and snow!

When it comes to winter, there’s always the tried and true activity of sledding. With a nice coating of powder, the NHS hill becomes the best sledding spot in all of Needham. If you don’t have a sled (or you feel like you’re too old for nostalgic childhood joy), you could always build a snowman in your backyard. After all, the one ingredient that you need literally falls from the sky. If you’re in the mood to stretch your legs this winter, the best activity would either be ice skating or a snowy hike.

Last but not least, if you just aren’t a cold-weather person, there’s always the option of huddling by the fireplace with a soft, cozy blanket. There’s arguably no better feeling than sitting by the fireplace on a cold, snowy winter night. You could even watch Christmas movies like Home Alone, The Nightmare Before Christmas, or Elf. It doesn’t even need to be a classic Christmas movie. (Fun Fact: since Die Hard is technically a Christmas movie just because it takes place on Christmas, by that logic the 1990 Tim Burton film Edward Scissorhands also qualifies as a Christmas movie). Whether or not you feel like facing the cold this holiday season, there are plenty of ways to keep yourself entertained.
