This course teaches outdoor recreation activities such as hiking, orienteering/compass use, slack-lining, knot tying/rock climbing and repelling, biking, skiing, fishing and outdoor cooking. Instruction includes classroom seminars, supervised outdoor practices, and field trips. Lifetime health benefits related to proper nutrition and exercise physiology are examined.
