Follow-up of the Senate Meeting on 22 May 2020. Changes in the evaluation of BSMS students for the Jan 2020 Semester to be discussed as students cannot be brought back by July. Nikita Gupta (3rd year, BS-MS) and Prakash Panwaria (4th year, iPhD) will be attending as student representatives.

As per section 2.1.1, this was the "first" meeting of the council with the agenda to decide the Committee Representatives (CRs) and the members of the Financial Sub-Committee.

The meeting was to consider teaching and evaluation plans for the current semester and academic plans of next semester in lieu of the current pandemic situation. Some specific clarifications from the student body via the Council were addressed.

The survey was taken by the institute to estimate quality of internet connection among the students. Summary of the results can be found here.
The Dean was informed about the insufficiency of online classes, degrading mental health as well as different and difficult home environments that students may be facing. Results of the alternate evaluation survey and common problems faced by students were compiled and presented in the Senate meeting of May 22, 2020. The mail that was sent can be found here.
