Those of you savvy developers, who must have noticed it is a simple template-based website with just workaround hacks for presentability here and there, it is basically the easiest and most accessible push to edit the website for frequent updates. The disadvantages being design restrictions and custom features. Here is where we need your help; as the prime motive of the website is to be an accessible platform both for information from the council and to the council from the student body, we would like suggestions on achieving this.

Main Technical Question: Given hosting space, domain availability and server allocation, we need to discuss whether it is better to use 3rd party/Open Source Forum Architectures or use PHP and SQL to create a platform under IISER G-Suite mail addresses. Keeping in mind that the main aim is to have an online public forum for transparent communication and the benefits of it over a long-term system to be in place in IISER.
