Service Learning Project- Sustainable Growth for The Future
For my service learning project I partnered with four other girls from my class to work on a project that is centered around food sustainability and food insecurity. For our project we went to Miller elementary school and taught the 5th graders a lesson about how to be sustainble with food and the negative impacts food waste has on our enviorment. We followed up our lesson with an engaging activity where the kids were able to plant their own plants that they were able to take home and watch grow. We also did a food drive with the 5th garde in which we were able to collect 65 donations for the Holliston Food Pantry. Teaching kids young was a huge emphasis of our project because this younger generation is the generation that will be responsible for helping to fix these issues.
GCP Mentor
I participated in a mentorship program for Global Citizens my junior and senior year. In this program 11th and 12th grade students mentor 9th and 10th grade students. My junior year my mentees were Michaela and Sara. This year for my senior year I have three mentees Annie, Sarah and Lizzie. Although they are my mentees, I am extremly impressed with the work they have been doing independtly and look forward to check ins with them because they always leave me impressed. I was so lucky to recive such awsome mentees both years and I am excited to see what they achieve within the program.

I started playing Tennis my sophmore year of High School and absolutley fell in love with the sport. The team was full of amaizing girls and the most supportive coaches. Through Tennis I met my best frieds and role models. I was honnored to be named a captain at the end of the 2023 season. Over the summer and fall I organized and lead captains practices and am looking foward to organizing fundraisers in the winter. I could not be more excited for the 2024 season Go Pathers!!!
Senior Internship
I am someone who has always had a love for kids. I love to be creative, have fun and learn new things. Because of this, I have always wanted to work with kids in some way as my full time carrer. For my senior internship, I was able to intern at Placentino Elementary School in a second grade classroom. I immediatly fell in love with the classroom setting. I am so happy I was able to participate in this internship. My internship has been a great way to gain the knowledge while also experiencing a classroom through hands-on experience.
The first craft on the left is a craft I did with students at the begining of december. The students dipped their hands in blue paint and pressed them together to make the shape of a Menorah followed by using yellow finger paint to light the candels. On the right is a poster I helped the class make. Each student created the flag of a country they or their family members are from and together we created this poster to show the diverity within our classroom.
8th Grade Step-up Days 3/19/24 + 3/20/24
For the 8th grade step-up day I shared my experiences and involvement in GCP over the last three years. I talked to 8th grades about classes I have taken that are GCP requirments, my service learning project I completed last year, my capstone I recently completed and discussed creating a digital portfolio to display the work I have done over the last 3 years. I also explain how metorship works in the program and encouraged the rising freshmen to join next year.
