In this webinar, Dr Joicey Wei Jie talked about the many uses of marketing around the world. Marketing in essence is knowing the target audience. For example, Nike banned small retailers from selling their. products as they want to collect their own consumer data. These data would help them to learn more about consumer habits and leverage on these information to appeal to more consumers.
There are 3 types of content marketing channels; owned media, earned media and paid media.
Owned media: Podcasts and live events, website, email
Earned media: Mentions, shares, reposts, reviews
Paid media: Social media ads, display ads, paid search, sponsorship
