Leadership

Public Relations Officer (PRO)

Being in Chinese Orchestra (SACO) has taught me many things I am very grateful for. There were definitely many highs and lows throughout my whole journey in SACO. Preparing for concerts and competitions were not always easy. The unwavering support the members have given enabled all of us to prepare pieces after pieces and giving near-perfect performances every time. As someone who plays the double bass, I often have difficulties carrying my instrument around. Hence, my members would help me to carry my bass from time to time when moving for rehearsals or performances. They offered to help on their own, which makes SACO a caring community to be in.

Learning Points:

  • to be more open to learn from others

  • to be a leader who serves the other members in SACO and at the same time have their respect

Project Work Representative

Being appointed as a Project Work (PW) has allowed be to learn how to be more responsible and accountable. As a PW rep, I was tasked to assist my teachers in the collection of assignments and the chasing of work if necessary. My classmates were very helpful over the course of the year I was appinted, and I am very grateful for them.

Learning Points:

  • to be more organised when collecting assignments

  • to be more patient with others
