Education in the Canal: Learning as a Tutor while Examining Disparities Among Latinx Students

This reflection on my service learning with Canal Alliance explores educational disparities among Latinx students in Marin County. By connecting tutoring to cultural wealth theory, I gained insights into equity and advocacy that will inform my nursing practice. 

Severe Burn Injury Case Study

This group case study analyzed the assessment and treatment of an 8-year-old with severe burns and smoke inhalation. Using pediatric burn charts, diagnostics, and evidence-based interventions, we created a holistic plan of acute care, grafting, and long-term rehabilitation 

Intracranial Regulation Case Study

This collaborative case study applied the nursing process to a patient with acute ischemic stroke. We analyzed risk factors, diagnostics, and evidence-based interventions, emphasizing patient teaching, lifestyle changes, and long-term recovery planning. 

Hypocalcemia

This presentation examined hypocalcemia, highlighting causes, risk factors, clinical signs, and complications. I focused on nursing care and patient education, emphasizing prevention, lifestyle modifications, and health promotion.
