Bridges and Pathways to Inclusion and Belonging
As part of Dominican University's Honors Program, I engaged in a co-curricular experience in San Francisco that sharpened observational and empathetic skills through mapping, listening, and reflecting. By noticing architectural and social details and speaking with local residents, I gained deeper awareness of the city’s complexity and diversity.

Exploring San Francisco through City as Text helped me notice how community factors like housing and cultural identity influence people’s daily lives. This experience made me more aware of the connections between environment and health, which I hope to keep in mind when caring for patients in the future.
