I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. My family is happy and so loving and I feel beyond lucky to have been born into that sort of environment. My parents have always encouraged me to do what makes me happy in life and to stay true to my values. I value every relationship in my life and believe I can learn a valuable lesson from every person in my life.
A quote by John Lennon that my dad sent to me to remind me that happiness always comes first.

INTEGRITY STATEMENT:
To me, integrity is listening to your moral compass. No matter who you are or what you are doing, every person internally knows right from wrong. For teachers, personal integrity means that you have to become a person that students feel comfortable reaching out to and asking for help. I have to be personable and kind, but also be able to correct mistakes in a way that does not diminish the confidence of my students. I also need to work on acknowledging my own personal needs rather than neglecting myself, which will eventually lead to a test in my integrity. From a young age, I have been very aware of other people’s emotions. In my experience, this is a strength and a weakness. I am personable and compassionate, but I tend to forget about my own emotions because I get too caught up in what is going on with the people I care about.
