This project is to draw a picture of the child we chose to encourage them to strive to keep going. The reason we are doing this project is because these kids live in extreme poverty with almost no personal belongings. This project is designed to give them something special/make them happy. To us it might not seem like us but the impact our drawing will have on them will be eminence.

I started off by drawing the highlights on the right side of the face and then moved down to the chin. Next I worked on the teeth and lips, they gave me a lot of trouble because of how small they are. The oil pastels made
What do you hope this child feels when they receive their portrait? What would you say to him/her if you could? I hope that Yarm likes the portrait I made for him. My hope is that he feels loved/cared about. I would tell him that he should never give up on his dreams because God can make anything possible. I would also say that he should enjoy the people in his life because they won't be with him forever.
After seen the video I was surprised by just how excited the children were at seeing the art projects. It caught me off guard because I do not have the same life experiences as them so I really don't know the significance of the portraits they received. To be that happy about a painting of yourself just goes to show how little they have and make me all the more happy that I was able to bring them joy. I hope that the art they recived will give them hope to keep going in life and grow closer to God so that they will show his love through there actions.
