Introduction to Studio Art

This is my drawing of my hand holding a hammer. I liked this project because it challenged me but rewarded me at the end of the project. It was definitly something that made me frustrated at first, but after a while it got easier and easier and then harder and harder. I think that it taught me good techniques in art like value, texture, and how to make it look more real rather than just a drawing that's on paper.

9 Lines Project

This is my line drawings project. I struggled a lot on this drawing. I didn't now how exactly to connect all of the lines, as you can see. I tried to do my best on it and this is what it came out to. I don't have the most creative mind, but I try to do my best work I can in art class.

This is my bowl. I struggled a lot with this project. I got really far behind and there were lots of problems with keeping all of the little parts together and in the correct spot. I was relieved to move onto to the next project and I was hoping that this one would go much smoother. Once I finished my bowl I did like the way that it turned out.

This is my watermelon jar!! This project was probably the easist for me. After doing my bowl this one seemed like a piece of cake. I liked the way it turned out but, since I got so far behind on my bowl and had to catch up on the jar to where everyone else was already, I never got the chance to really think about doing something really cool that maybe took some more time and effort. Overall I enjoyed this project a lot!

Here is my clay whistle! It was very challenging to make and to keep it working but I loved getting to see how not only mine turned out, but all of my classmates too! Everyone has such cool ideas and everyones started in a different shape than others which would lead to everyone thinking about different things that they could create from it. I loved learning the technique on how to get the clay to form in a way to blow in it and make it whistle. This project is very difficult and hard, but at the same time I think it was my favorite!

This is my underwater water color project. Throughout the process of making this, everyone kind of cmpared it to acrylic painting and we would all give our opinion on what we think was either easier or harder or more enoyable. Personally, I didn't love either of them, but I like the way that the water color project turned out! I liked the way that you have to personally make each color that is going onto your paper. I learned many different skills like, the way to make the cool backround with the water and the water color paint. I learned how to make all the different shades of blue and the best ways to put those colors onto my paper. I liked this project!!

Here is my 3D story. I enjoyed this project because it took time and patience to build it. I spent closely to 3 hours working on this and while it doesn't look amazing it represents my story and the fun I had on this trip. I chose this becuse this is a memorie that I think of quite often and love to look back on the pictures. I enjoyed the challenge of trying to figure out which part fit in the correct spot the best and I also liked how it isn't something that a lot of art classes do! And it worked out great being able to be home. I really liked getting the chance t do something for art class over this corona break.

This is my spot the differences photo. This project was difficult for myself. It was hard to figure out how to do certai things while working on it at home or even in a class that I had extra time in. It was hard no being able to techniclly do it yourself and what I mean by that is doing it through technology rather than your own hands. Ours ended up turning out pretty good and I liked having a partener to do it ith so that we had two different perspectives over all, this project definetly had its pros and cons. But I did like the idea of giving the book to kids in the dental shops that hopefully get the chance to enjoy it nd look through it while waiting.

Here is my acrylic painting. I really enjoyed this one because I liked gettin to blend all the colors and get to larn that skill and practice it more throughout the process. I slowly got better and I improved a lot. I liked doing the blending because I liked it looking like the look ombre on the orange and the yellow. I reaally enjoyed this projet and I would've loved to get to do more of the acrylic pinting. It taught me painting skills that I will forever remember and hopefully will get to practice more and continue to get better.
