Intro to studio art

Hand holding a Tool

I learned a lot when I did this project. I learned how to shade, make an exact copy, and use different pencils and pressure. I learned how to use a blending stump and how to make the drawing look smooth. I didn't think I could do it when I saw the examples. But now, I am excited of how it turned out even though I thought it would be worse. I never thought that I could draw something like this.

Line Project

I learned a few things from this project. I learned how to be creative with the lines and I learned how to press hard with the colored pencils. It took a while to find an idea to draw and make all of the lines work with the drawing. When I saw other examples it looked hard but I do like my drawing now.

Insect Painting

From this project I learned some new things. l learned how to blend with paint. I also learned how to color the picture and make lines on the canvas. I really enjoyed doing this project because it pushed me better than I thought I could do.

Bowl

I learned a few things from this project. For example, I learned to keep the clay under a bag so it wouldn't dry up. I also learned how to do molds with the bowl. I learned that you have to glaze 3 coats on it. I like how my bowl ended up in the end.

Donut Jar

I learned some techniques from this project like how to smooth the clay and shape it how I wanted it. I learned how to use the hollow tool and the slice tool to slice of the top. I like how it turned out in the end and it was super fun to make.

Whale Whistle

I learned how to use slip and blend the clay onto the the main part without messing up the whistle. I also learned how to make it whistle and adjust it with the pencil and popsicle stick. I also learned that shape to make for the base and add onto that to make it look good.

Watercolor Painting

I really enjoyed the watercolor painting. I think that it was difficult but in the end I liked mine. I learned how to use the pens and add layers with the watercolor. Also, when I messed up, I learned how to make the mistake lighter and paint back over it to fix it.

Spot the Difference

In this project, I learned lots of things. I learned how to photo shop different colors, flip things, and many more photo shop things. It was actually pretty hard for me in the beginning because I am not good at technology. I ended up liking mine a lot because it pushed me to keep trying and learn how to do it.

3D Art project

I learned to use my resources around my house to build this project. At first I had no clue what story to do but as soon as a came up with one it all fell into place. I learned how to make it stand up and not fall down. I also learned to make parts move so they won't be boring.
