This piece is called "Alien Ship" I had loved making this since I could make a somewhat complex looking ship while it begin easy for me to make. I used a great amount of subobject tools to great this ship. I created this ship from one a single cone. The challenges I faced during this project was getting my work wiped and then starting again. This shows my personal style of making complex designs that are somewhat pleasing to look at. What I am most proud of in the piece is that I made it very fast. I planned this project after making random things for a week then thinking about UFOs while I made a monster. The feedback I got for this piece was that it looked cool and I reflected this within my piece. This piece demonstrates my skills within 3DS max a decent amount. The complexity and quality of this ship pales in comparison to some of my works when I first started modeling. I learned more about subobject tools in this project and will be sure to incorporate it more.
I am proud of my texture since it shows how realistic you are able to get with 3DS max materials. With looking at my box it truly looks realistic in how it looks and the depth also look realistic to a real shipment box.
This creation is a quasar that I had created after finishing all of my assignments, this is a still picture of what I animated. With the animation of the quasar being more in depth that what you are able to see. Though the still picture shows the use of certain materials to depict different colors and reflections.
I liked creating this since this was the intro to materials and I changed different variables for each of the objects. I loved how simple and good it looked and I learned a lot from my experience while creating this simple scene with these materials and objects.
I'm proud of this texture since it looks very realistic to a box you would receive on your door step. I made this look nice by editing how it looks on each side to it matches up to how it would look in the real world.
I loved making this mech since I was able to have creative freedom for this texture. The texture I choose was a dessert called soan papadi. This is a sweet delicious dessert that I put into my project since I had been thinking about it while creating my seamless mech.
Storm
This is here since this is one of my first time using cameras and this scene was a combination project with me using lights, materials, and modeling all in one scene.
Desk Scene
This scene was one of my first experience using lights. I also used the material editor within this project in order to make the lamp shade fabric and to act as fabric and added a design within the shade. This scene consists of lighting material editing and use subobject tools.
3Point lighting technique
With this scene I had sued the technique of three point lighting to fully illuminate my mech that was made earlier using UV mapping and sub object tools. Learning this technique has helped me a great deal in my illuminating of later projects.
Rendering Technique
Modeling this scene helped me a great deal with it being the first time modifying the rendering settings within the render setup with it being the first time I learned a great deal finishing this project.
Cameras
This camera activity was my first time using cameras and learning about the settings. This project increased my knowledge about how cameras work within the scene heavily. With there also being a physical camera option which uses real life camera settings which is very helpful.
Basic Animation
This animation was my first of the type for a project with me learning more about the different ways to edit the movement in animation. I learned about different modes using the auto key mode for this project. The experience I gained from this first animation made me want to animate more and more and become more complex with animations.
Driving Animation
This driving animation is my most recent completed animations. It has real world elements of day, night, and even the headlights of the car. Being able to use all these elements within my animation increased the realism of it heavily. I used auto key for this animation which helped a great amount. I also used the align and link tool which helped to link the camera to stay and follow the car. Another tool that was used was the path constraint tool which made the car stay on the path of the road. I added banking to that the became elevated when going around turns on the road basically mimicking the suspension of a car.
My First Time Modeling
This piece was my first time ever touching 3D modeling the name of the project is "Exploring Primitives" I used nothing but the move tool and computer inputs to make this piece. What inspired me to make this piece is that it was our first project and I wanted to try out what this class was. Tools I used within this scene was the move tool to make each primative around my plane I had made before; I didn't face any challenges since before hand we were shown where to find the tools that we needed to make the scene. This piece made me want to figure out more of what this class had to offer and I began to take the class with an open mind since I had just learned something new. With the starting of this first project it made me want to continue to make more and more within this class and get better so I could 3D modeling anything I had wanted to.
My Most Difficult piece
My most diffult piece is my PBM which I had to make within the entierty of fourth quarter with it taking every period of 3D modeling. I enjoyed making this piece since I was able to focus a great deal of time towards it and being able to make something that I wanted. This is by far one of my most astechtic pieces with the harmony of colors. I was able to make this scene look so good since I had time to spend on it which casued me to contiue to go deeper in what I knew to aniamte and model. Techniques I used within this project was UVW unwrapping to get the textures I wanted for my characters; I also made prisms within my scene for my character to interact with since my character depicts light and how it interacts with it's surroundings. I learned a lot about 3DS Max with this scene with my using many tools and especially using the material editor for my textures.
Most Aesthetic Scene
My most aesthetic scene is this city view that I made for a modeling project. Techniques I used was the edit poly tool to make buildings and the sky piece. I was able to use the turbo smooth tool in order to smooth out the Sky piece's exterior casing. The lighting causes this scene to be pleasing to the eye with the different colored lighting shining through the buildings to show the shadows from the light. What inspired me to make this scene is that I made it from a game I played everyday and I wanted to model a weapon from the game and the scene is the city where the weapon is found within the game. I received positive feedback for this scene since the lighting and city looked good in the render.
