Michael Cayne (named after the song by Madness and with no relation to the lyrics or the actor) was a period drama about a detective living in England in the 1700's clearly though it was set in the late 1800's and I didn't understand or bother to look it up. This was to be a series of one pagers in the same vein as the Phantom, another one of my biggest childhood influences.
I was really into this one manga called Black Cat, (to this day it's the only manga I've read) and it is the source of all my anime influence.
