so I do music as well now (we saw this coming) I started learning acoustic guitar at the beginning of 2021, then downloading reaper and working on electronic production during the midyear lockdowns and graduating to banjo and accordion towards the end, I have since released two albums, exploring the psyches of disenfranchised worms and spinning autobiographical stories about lost property through cheap keyboards and simple banjo riffs
i am now entering the third year of my music
a collection of bits n bobs, noodles and demos
cow comes to terms with tripe, extrapolate
hard electronic horse death
this is the second year of my music progression, my focus this year, after releasing my first album has been on song writing and learning how to actually play instruments
songs, dark and foreboding from a past which is long since forgotten and a present that has long since gotten out of hand is my second album. shifting sonic palette from electronic noodlings to bitter and resentful ballads from some vaguely painful past, the album is the first in a set of two albums developed at the same time, moving through accordion and banjo passages into cheap synths but still being produced entirely in my room or whilst on the toilet.
I allow myself to keep the music a little rough around the edges, i am not a professional musician by any stretch of the imagination and have found myself sitting on these tracks for months waiting for some musical genius or divine inspiration to hatch out of them, alas, my perfectionism can only go so far before i crush these eggs of passion under the weight of my expectations, and so i present the album in it's current form, full of bumps and holes
is my first album type thing, collecting tracks made during 2021 while learning reaper, the album is mostly made up of midi arrangements, with some acoustic guitar and experimentation with sampling
through this project you can hear me not only struggling through learning how to use reaper but also harmonies and rhythm with a rudimentary understanding of theory.
Many chords are made up of notes chosen at random, all the drums are from a single sample pack.
Much of what is included here is the result of consistent trial and error many chords are made up of notes chosen at random, all the drums are from a single sample pack. the tracklist is cherrypicked from a heaping pile of ass nuggets.
Though the album is far from passable I'm still proud of the tracks that were included and I intend to make more music in the future.
