The precious moment to be part of Sea Teacher program 2024, motivated to get to know more proficiency as an academic, expand teaching practice experience in another country, and providing an early chillhood education journey to be valuable and meaningful.

Hello!
I'm Sarah Sausan Nafiah. I'm a student at University of Sebelas Maret especially from Early Childhood Education Major 2021. I'm so interested in expanding insights about childhood education and always learn from all of experience. Let's get to know about my journey to be part of SEA-TEACHER Program Batch 10 at Cavite State University (CvSU) and my teaching internship at Indang Central Elementary School, Philippines.
Cavite State University (CvSU) started in 1906 as Indang Intermediate School, taught by American Thomasites. It underwent several name changes: Indang Farm School (1918), Indang Rural High School (1927), and Don Severino National Agriculture School (1958). In 1964, it became Don Severino Agricultural College (DSAC) under Republic Act 3917.
On January 22, 1998, DSAC was converted into Cavite State University by Republic Act No. 8468. Later, Cavite College of Fisheries (Naic) and Cavite College of Arts and Trade (Rosario) were integrated in 2001. CvSU now has 11 campuses across Cavite, with the 70-hectare main campus in Indang named Don Severino delas Alas Campus.
CvSU is committed to providing quality education, fostering research and development, and producing globally competitive, skilled, and ethical individuals.
Through the implementation of the Sea-Teacher program, especially focusing on Early Childhood Education or kindergarten grade, there are many links to the SDGs goals. This can be seen from SDGs goal number 4, namely "Quality Education" which includes:
1. Opportunities for teaching practice carried out directly with early childhood students, indicating the opportunity for all levels of education to get the facility to play and learn at school freely and independently of course with the guidance of prospective educators and educators in schools.
2. Through the Sea-Teacher program, prospective educators can expand and implement a variety of insights into the availability of learning environments from within the country and abroad in Southeast Asia, for early childhood education that is safe to accept, free from violence, balanced learning opportunities for all early childhood (inclusion), and able to provide meaningful learning for all students both for themselves and the surrounding environment.
