Established by the Jesuits on June 5, 1940, Ateneo de Naga University (ADNU) is a prestigious Catholic university located in Naga City, Philippines. During World War II, it briefly closed as a boys' high school, but by the 1950s, it had reopened and grown into a college. It became coeducational in 1991 and became a university in 1998. Known for its dedication to social responsibility, leadership, and academic success, ADNU is currently one of the top Jesuit universities in the Bicol area.Â
The Senior High School (SHS) of the Ateneo de Naga University is committed to develop students as life-long learners through the acquisition of ethical as well as spiritual values guided by the teachings of St. Ignatius of Loyola; and thus be holistically prepared for college education adept at critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, information media and technology skills geared towards the development of the Bicol Region and the entire nation.
