Observation

During my observation week, I dedicated my time not only to observing the dynamics of the classroom and the teacher's instructional style but also to actively engaging with the students I would soon be teaching. Building relationships with them was a priority for me. I aimed to understand their individual personalities, learning styles, and any potential challenges they might face. By gathering this information, I hoped to create a demo lesson that would be both effective and supportive, fostering a positive learning environment for all students. 

I recently had the opportunity to spend a week observing at Ateneo de Naga University, and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the teaching and the overall learning environment. The faculty members were clearly experts in their respective fields and demonstrated a strong commitment to their students' success. They created a dynamic and stimulating atmosphere in their classrooms, employing a variety of innovative teaching methods to ensure that students remained engaged and challenged. Their passion for their subjects was evident, and it was clear that they took great pride in their work.

The students at Ateneo de Naga University were equally impressive. They were active participants in their own learning, contributing thoughtfully to class discussions, asking insightful questions, and sharing their own perspectives. This level of engagement created a richer and more rewarding learning experience for everyone involved.

Overall, the collaborative spirit between faculty and students at Ateneo de Naga University was truly remarkable. It was evident that the university placed a high value on academic excellence, and that this commitment was shared by all members of the community. The experience left me with a deep appreciation for the transformative power of education and the importance of fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating learning environment.

Teachers utilized a variety of formative assessments, group discussions, and activity observations, to continuously monitor and evaluate student progress. This ongoing evaluation enabled them to identify areas where students were struggling and adjust their teaching methods to address these needs. Additionally, teachers placed a strong emphasis on providing constructive feedback and mentorship to support student learning.
