Preparing Lessons and the Materials
During my observation week, I dedicated my time not only to observing the dynamics of the classroom and the teacher's instructional style but also to actively engaging with the students I would soon be teaching. Building relationships with them was a priority for me. I aimed to understand their individual personalities, learning styles, and any potential challenges they might face. By gathering this information, I hoped to create a demo lesson that would be both effective and supportive, fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
Teaching in the Class
I recently had the opportunity to spend a week observing at Ateneo de Naga University, and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the teaching and the overall learning environment. Measurement and Evaluation
Teachers utilized a variety of formative assessments, group discussions, and activity observations, to continuously monitor and evaluate student progress. This ongoing evaluation enabled them to identify areas where students were struggling and adjust their teaching methods to address these needs. Additionally, teachers placed a strong emphasis on providing constructive feedback and mentorship to support student learning.
