What We've Done

Here are some previously attended events here at NYMC!

2023 M1 Friendsgiving

The M1 Senate worked hard to organize a spectacular 2023 Friendsgiving! The event featured heartwarming and inspiring speeches from distinguished guests Dean Schluger, Dr. Lerea, Mr. Bender, Dr. Rachlin, and Deazn Sozzo.

Activities included fun rounds of Pictionary, a Polaroid photo booth, and delicious Thanksgiving dinner!

The newly established Art Club held their first meeting on Monday, 10/2, which consisted of a meet & greet and anatomy coloring session!

2023 Club Fair

The annual Club Fair took place on Wednesday, August 30th. With over 100 registered clubs at NYMC, the fair had an incredible turnout with clubs ranging from advocacy to medical specialty interest to music!

NYMedTalks 2023

The M1 Student Senate organized NYMedTalks 2023, which took place on Thursday, March 30th. This year's theme was Beyond the Clinic: Unique Career Paths and Innovative Physician Roles. This event aimed to bring awareness to physician-adjacent opportunities, where students and physicians can leverage their degrees, personal skill sets, and passions to broaden patient care through fields like education, consulting, entrepreneurship, policy, writing, and art.

The event was a great success, with accomplished speakers like Dr. Austin Chiang, Dr. Traci Gardner, Dr. Sharon McLaughlin, Dr. Jacob M. Appel, Dr. Srihari Gopal, and Dr. Henry Wei sharing their unique perspectives and insights with the NYMC community.
