First Zion Robotics team competes at Victoria Park CI, and manages to advance to provincials!
Zion Lions compete in the East Provincial Championship Event at Durham College, but fails to advance to Internationals, placing fourth overall.
Due to larger interest, Zion Noiz #30946 was established as a sister team for the 2017-2018 season. We learned many important lessons in team organization and robot design.

At the end of the event, we recieved an innovative solution award for #30946, Zion Noiz, but neither team managed to reach Provincials, and we were left to regroup in hopes of coming back stronger next season.
Robotics Club was started by members of the robotics team to spark interest and raise funds for next year's Zion Lions, and to hopefully start the transfer of knowledge by the graduating Gr. 8's.
This time with just the Zion Lions (Anthony Chen, Jordan Cui, Marko Damjanovic, Umair Fozail, Yuewen Gao, Nivya Gnanachandran, Angela Lin, Greg Schmidt, Anushka Tripathi, Miranda Zhao), Zion blasts off into the vast expanse of space with FLL's 2018-2019 season, Into Orbit.

The Zion Lions contend in the Regional Qualifier Tournament at Westview Centennial Secondary School. Receiving three callbacks, as well as being widely praised for their robot, core values and innovative project, the Zion Lions places second overall, securing them a spot at the East Provincial Championship Tournament in January, as well as being the Core Values Awardee.

In preparation for the East Provincial Tournament in January, the Zion Lions regroup to fine-tune their project, put finishing touches on their robot, and share their solution with people for whom their project really matters. Let's do this Zion!

The Zion Lions competed in the Ontario East Provincials Championship Tournaments. Unfortunately, they failed to advance to the world festival. Don't worry, we'll try again next year!
