Handmade Cards

I enjoy making handmade cards for the people who have helped and inspired me. It is one of my ways of gratitude to them before I leave the place where I learned so much.

SECONDARY SCHOOL

Although this set contained many more cards- this one was my favourite one. All cards were made using coloured pens, pencils and slightly thick paper usually used for making cards like this.

The science technicians at my school purchased some Monarch Butterfly caterpillar and chicken eggs during my last two years at secondary school. All students and staff got to watch the birth and growth of them. At the end of the year, the butterflies were set free and the young chicks rehomed.

I am very fond of animals so made a card to thank the technicians who inspired me. The card contains a chick with a butterfly on the tip of its beak. The butterfly's wings are able to flap and are detailed on both sides- I copied down the pattern shown in pictures online.

COLLEGE (VOCATIONAL)

The same materials as the Secondary School cards were used but with the inclusion of acrylic paint.

The front cover was inspired by one of the taglines from Game of Thrones' House Arryn- As High As Honour. I have deep gratitude, inspiration and motivation for the tutors who have mentored me and many teachers besides them deserve to be honoured.
