This project was done over 13 weeks and involved Milestones or Status Updates.

For this project I wanted to create a new animal using my imagination through pareidolia.

Pareidolia is the tendency to see ambiguous or patterned images in random objects. For me; I mostly see animals or fantasy creatures.

In a family friend's house, on their carpet- the pattern's resembled a scorpion's tail and thus I came up with a new species of scorpion.

I decided to develop my creativity more using research and my sketching and painting skills. My aims and deliverables for this project:

• Create a new species- make a new scientific name, its life cycle, behaviour, etc

• 4 sketches/paintings- 1 of the animal in the wild, 1 showing the animal in infant and juvenile stage, 1 showing the tail and sting mechanism and the last, the animal in its final, mature adult form

• A short 'documentary' film- using my sketches/paintings and videos from online using the information from create a new species
