This year my target is to work more quickly and efficiently because last time I was a bit rushed and my work was not that great.
This year I will try and work more quickly to not be rushed and maybe still try to make my work look great.I think I might also try sketching more carefully for when I start designing because my design changed last minute so I think I should try and think about the design because my design was also very difficult to cut out and some pieces fell of so I should try and think more about the difficuly of my design so that I will not be rushed and I will try my best to be resilient and versatile.
I am really excited for the programming I hope that I will learn more about coding because I am not very good at that but I will still try my best I am also looking forward to designing the gaming console but I do not have that much experience because I do not have many gaming equipment I think that this year will be more complex than y7 well it obviously will be but I also think that because there is going to be lots to like about the micro chip and the inserting of the microchip but then threre will also be the designing of the console and I imagine there will be alot of design restrictions or maybe less and maybe we can be freestyle but either way I know that I will enjoy it.
I think that the learner profile we will be is resilience because coding can be very difficult so I think we will have to go through alot of trial and error and it might take a long time because we all do not know how to insert a micro chip and we do not even know wat a micro chip is so I think it will be difficult.I think that the material that we are going to use for the gaming comsole might be wood, plastic or resin I think that all of them are helpfull in their own way like plastic it would be strong but maybe not the easy to press woof could also be relly strong and it would also be easy to press and resin can be really pretty but just that so I think that maybe the material we are going to use is wood because wood can also be really smooth so the texture would be strong and it could also be pretty
I do not know what a micro chip is but I am guessing it could be like a usb of information and when we put it into the console we would be able to play the game because it would mean we are plugging the coding and information in so it could maybe be like a usb for gaming comsoles but I am looking forwart lo learning more about what a micro chip is and how it works and what it does so I can have a more deeper understanding and then I might understand more and if I understand I might be able to work more carefully and easily and if I am right I will be very happy but it could be for something else like maybe the sensore so whenever we press a button it does the thing it is supposed to do but I hope that when the year is done I will know everything about the microchip.I think that my game might be an obstacle one where you have to go from the start line to the finish line and you have to avoid the obstacles and when you reach the finish line you get a level up and get a reward like maybe a new skin or a diamond or a flappy bird game.
This is my secondary research I decided to go for the theme kawaii I think that the theme my gaming console will be a tamagotchi but I will not make it too small because if it is too small it will be really difficult to hold. For my secondary research I decided to go for a pink and cute theme and removed all of the backgrounds so it looks more spacious and there is alot more space for the text.Something that I really like about my Secondary Research is the theme I think that the theme is r
I added some arrows to show where the text is supposed to be and make it clear at first I made the text blue to contrast but then it made it a bit hard to see so the I tried experimenting with the colours white, grey, pink and a darker blue I then ended up with black which did contrast and also made it easier to see.
I see that the game inside the console is a number game maybe a flappy bird game or an obstacle avoiding game.I also know that since the controller is on a keychain it must be really small and it might be a bit hard to play on
I think that this is kind of like the flip phone but maybe a gaming version there is a screen on top and the bottom is maybe the controllers and games.
I think that this is not a gaming console but a deice that you can listen to music with.I am notsure if my micro bit can do that but if it is I might try doing a game thta whenever you finish a level you get a new song.
At first I made my title like this with a bold underline I chose the colour becausepink was just a darker colour of my theme and black because it contrasts I also changed the transparency.
Then I changed it to this because it makes it really easy to read and I think that it looks really cool and I changed it to transparency to 100 percent so it makes it easier to read and it also looks really really cool.I also changes the font to DIN Condensed for the title so that it looks different from the description.
I used this to make the text further apart so now it looks like that but for the word SECONDARY I had to use more tracking but for the word RESEARCH I used less.
I used this font so that my presentation does not look plain and kind of looks like handwriting.I think that it looks cool and pretty.
I used this size of text so that it was not too big and not too small but just right.
First you have to press the tool bar then press add text. There are a lot of acttions like add, camera, share, video, prefs and help.
Now you can choose all of the size and tracking how you would like it .You can choose how it is arranged. There are a lot of fonts and designs. The fonts that are there is great but if yu look below there will be alot more fonts from a website that I used but some example of the fonts here are, " Euphemia UCAS, Farah, Futara, Geeza Pro and the one I was using is DIN Condensed but the styles are also really nice like Italic, Light, Light Italic, Semi Bold, Semi Bold Italic and the attributes are GREAT I usually use the one in blue becaus it makes everything in the middle and sometimes I use the button that says O

❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。 Title Ideas❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。
I think this one would be a very good one because it covers up all of the blank pages so it does not look empty. You can do this by wriiting the text in big fonts then duplicatng it.
I think this is one is really cool too especially where it says hand held controllers as it kinf of explains in a bit more derail and I also like the pictures and on the side where it says gaming console I think it was a very nice touch.
This was the one I decided to go with because I thought i was very unique anc creative and a lot of my friends did this too so thank you Olivia!
☾ ⋆*・゚:⋆*・゚ How Did I Make The Backgrounds Transparent☾ ⋆*・゚:⋆*・゚
1.I went to a website that my friends recommended to me called remove bg they said that it was really quick and efficient. Then you would press download image and choose the picture you want.
2.The picture's background would then get cut out and it would turn transparent. Then you would press download and then the picture would get saved into your downloads and then you would have to save it.
I think that this is a dress up game where you can dress the character up and you can also feed it because of the little buttons I see so possible that is what this game is.
I think that this is a help me get ready game a game where you can dress up, shower and feed the character and maybe also put it to sleep I really like thoe background and the sofa it looks really cute If I can do this maybe I will but I also have my obstacle course game idea.
I think that this is an obastacle course game because the rabbit looks like its running anyd maybe we can move it up and down to get it through the obstacles and it will be really cool.
I think that this is aso and obstacle game where you can move it up and down like the rabbit and I think that in the bottom I see a little heart line so maybe whenever you crash into an obstacle a heart dies?
This is a font generator you write down whatever you want and then there will be cool fonts with your text. There will be alot of them so you have a lot to choose from and they are all great. The one that I use right now is the 3rd bottom one it is a bit cut out but I really like i I think that it is really unique.
I use this website where there are a lot of cute symbols there are different types there are flowers, hearts, sparkles and even borders. I always use this when I have a different title.
This is my poster on the top left is my inspiration from tamagotchis similar to my inspiration board but not quite. Then on the top right is the colous palettes from an app called Arty Click there will be about this down bellow. On the top left is my sketch of my gaming console brought from my inspiratiom all incorporated into one and then on the bottom right is my final design I think that the outcome is very good bu also the small one is drew on procreate but the bigger one is from an app called Art Set which has beautiful and 3D brushed there will be more about this below.
This is a bit of the paint I am using more on this below. It is called oil paint there are a lot of more brushes in this appp for example felt tip, marker, water colour, mechanical pencil, fountain pen, wax crayon, oil pastel and a really nice brush is the blender. There are a lot of blenders there are tissue blenders and there is a lot more I also just found this app just yesterday and was surprised at the efficiency of the brush and how it really captures the essence of oil paints and how the blending was super accurate. Maybe even more accurate the procreate but sadly Art set is and app that needs money and to change the size and there would be more layers
This is an example of the brush from art set I have chosen the colour pink because I will be showing the shading of the brush soon.
This is a zoomed in picture. You can see the texture of the brush and the realisticness of it.For me it sometimes looks like real acrylic.
This is the blending with a purple brush I think that it looks really smooth and blended out.
Now this is a rainbow.I think that it looks really really pretty the shading, the thickness and ofcourse the texture.
This app is a very good app for finding out which coulours are in your poster!I got this app from my friend.I am going to use this app really efficiently so that my wotk and google sites has more pictures and more text so that I can describe what the colours are you can also change that colour to make it darker and lighter.you can also explain the name of the colour and what happens when I make it lighter or darker usually if it was pastel colours I would usually like to see how it would look like if it was darker and if it was dark colours I would like to see it it was lighter and what the name would be.A purple colour that I really like is periwinkle I think that it sounds really sweet and light and the real colour is also light and prety it is kind of like a lilacy light purple which is super sweet.A colour that I actually used was called pale rose it was kind of a light peachy pink colour which really fitted the my melody theme well and it also matched other colours easily so the all stood out and at the same time look blended so that is why periwinkle and pale rose are some of my favourite colour sadly I could not use periwinkle because I wanted to go for a my melody theme then a sea theme then a midnight theme and the fist one was a contrasr theme.
These are some of the really pretty shades this is the pale rose I was talking about but in a bit of darker shades, I think that if its dark it will not be a pale rose anymore.
This one is also a pale rose but with lighter shades I think that if it goes any lighter it will be called a light rose but I still really like the pastel colour. I like it so so so much because I am a person who likes pastel colors so this is probably one of my favorites
This is a pastlel themed one.I really like it I like how the blue contrasts with the pink and everytyrhing.
This one is definitely not one of my favourites I feel like it looks really dark,a bit too dark.
for this one I went for an ocean theme I really liked it except for the fact that the blue is a bit too bright.
This one is one of my favourites.I designed it after my melody because of the ears and the green I am actually not sure I just thought green looked really good with the design
Some people might be wondering that in the poster there are 2 options for little button and why over here there is no little buttons the thing is.This is kind of the outside of it the design not the controllers just yet and also the reason I have two options is either the animals or the animals paw print because they are bothh super cute.
These are all the layers .I had to merge the layers to perfect them and make them easier to move around and adjust.
this is me starting to fill the pink spaces and colours of my design I did a pink
This is more of me colouring in all of the designs and the bows I would zoom in so that I will not leave any blank/white spacees.
Now I am starting to use the app alled Art Set which has great brushes like I sead.
First I tried using a colour that was a bit darker but then it did not blend really well so I had to adjust the colour.
I found a perfect shade for the bow it was dark but also bended but I had to do it quite a lot of times so the brush was the right size and texture
This is when I found the perfect shade to use for my design!
This is a google form for which colour is you're favourite so please write your opinion on there.
Most of my friends said that their favourite was the My Melody one but one of them said their favourite was Pink, Blue and hotpink one I think that I kind of agree with them but I also really like the Pink,Yellow and green one I kind of understand.
Some of them think that the Sea Blue and Dark Blue was too light and too dark.
I think that my poster looks really good but the problems that ran into were not easy to fix . My problem started when I forgot to trace the shape of my tamagotchi. It made things really difficult as I could not drop the colour in and had to it it very slowly.I tried tracing around it but it was still really difficult because of I also did not remove the background of the picture as it took out some of the lines.
This is a light sketch of my design but I still think that I will be doing a tamagotchi design I think. I will be explaining the reasons for my designs and you wil be able to see they are all animals.
I started fineling the one that I am most sure about which was the rabbit then the cow then horse then the llama incase I would like to change the ones that I not really sure about.
I have used a 0.5 fineliner as there is only that one except for a red 0.3 one which I am not able to use because it is red and we are supposed to use black so I know that I should not use the colour red so that I know how to self assess correctly whether I should use this colour correct.
This is a flower at first I was going to do a bow but then I thout that I liked it more as a flower as there was already a bow on the bunnies head so I decided to put flowers on her ears
As you will be able to see the ghost lines have to be very thin so that when you fineline the ghost lines will fade out and the fineline will POP!If I make the ghost lines too dark they will not be ghost lines and they will be super difficult to remove and if you do get to remove it it will leave a very dark line which will not make your work satisfactory and it will not be pleasant to the eye which is very important.Right now my goal for sketching is to try and make very light lines and perfect my ghost lines so that they look picture perfect.
These are the colour scheme that I will be using and the reason why will be explained belo I have decided that the pink I am using was too light but by then I had already started colouring and even already started colouring with the white so I had to get a darker pink to make it stand out more.
I have just realized that near the edge ofthe colour that the colour pencils are there are some red strips and I was really confused on what they were.At fist I thought that they showed the colour of the colour pencil but when I saw it everywhere I realized that it was not.
I started using a darjer shade in the outside of the mane and the ears then started on a middle shade and then blended that part out then I did the lightest shade I trided to make it as trasnparent as possible.
I chose a pink so because my friends suggested that pink would be a cute colour on my horse and the colour brown because it contrasted.I think that the rhendering could be a little bit better
This is again the colour scheme I am using and again there is a little red strip again nd I am still so confused why it is there.
Looking back at my choices I have assessed something.I should have sharpened my colour pecils more because they are very blunt.
I can see that pink is the bluntest one of them because when sharp and precise pencils are pointy this ones side is straight and I am pretty sure that if I touched it it would not hurt but if it was a precise and pointy pencil it would hurt not mcuh but a teeny tiny bit.
I have decided to go in first with the pink because it was lightest but as you can see there is a dash of purple because I thought that purple would be good but then I changed my mind after I started which was kind of sad.
Then I started with the darkerst colour on the other side for contrast then started shading with purple I did not really like how it turned out so I asked Mr Douglas.
I asked Mr Douglas if how I was doing it was correct and if the rhendering was good enough so he then showed me the technique that I should have done it was a cross patch technique
If I zoom in you will be able to see the intricate details that was possible to have missed and as you can see on the edge I did a dark edge then started shading down to a medium tone and then I start overlapping the blue and the purpe so that it blendedmwith each other and hopefully it did.
When M.r douglas started helping me shade I noticed something that he did.Everytime he changed the section he was shading in he would change and rotate the directition of the paper.
He also held the pencil at the arms lengh and when he did that the more further it was the more lighter the pencil lines.
Then he started to blend everythingout the pink with the purple the purple with the blue then the blue with the pink and then he went onto the finishing touches
When he started finishing p his hand was really far away from the paper because he was doing the lightest section of the paper.
A mistake that I made is seen very clearly on the peice of paper it is that the lines of how I shaded was really raggedy and it was not smoothed and blended out and most of all since it was near the edge is was not light so I think that next time my goal will be to rhender more lightly and accurately and on the pink one I should have made it darker so it was actually rhendering.
This is how far I have come during the duration of about 35 minutes when I finished this I realized that the llama one is a bit like a full-on monet as when you look at it closely you can see all the mistakes but from far away it is really pretty so my goal for the next one which is the cow one is to make it look pretty up close and far away.
Now for the cow one I was kind of going for a blueberry cow vibe which basically means a cow with blue patches usually I would go for a light pastel rainbowy cow but this time I decided on this palette
I did dark blue on the edges and light on the outside to try and blend them out a bit I did them carefully on every single little blob of the pattern.
Then I got grey and started shading the outside I did grey because if I did wight it would be transparent but if I choose this design I would probably make it white/
This is my friend's work its inspiration is also from a horse that she has been riding sadly that horse is blind in one eye but it can still ride beautifully.
Now this one is where I got my colour from I really liked the way the purple an dpink blended it so I did it for my alpaca but I just added dark blue.
This is an example of a person in y6s portfolio he has lots of pictures you will be able to seethem in the section of the pictre but all of these pictures are just zoomed in versions of the actual picture and that is going to be my other goal in improving my sites.
First I just went on pinterest because it has some of the cutest templates and searched teddy bear border the first one without teddy the second one with and the one that worked was the second one.
Then I went to a website called remove bg and there were a few cut edges but I decided that it was fine because on procreate I could just trace it and everything would be fine and it was kind of except for the bit one the paws but atleast it wasn't a lot.
Then I press the little dowloads button on the top right corner.
This was the result.
The directions on how to do it will be below but basically you just draw a little section how ever you want and there will be more nstructions below on what to do next.
This is mine I do not have the finished picture but I decided that on different body parts would be different sections for mine and on the head is for the animals my friend is also doing something similar to this but in the shape of a bow.
This was the final product which as I said has different sectins most of th eupper body has animals and on the arm and leg is a dress and in the middle there are some teddy bears and some flowers..
Now over here you san see that the lines aren't drawn by me so that means that using the masking tool it will be a little bit more difficult which was a bit of a problem but not a very big one as on some parts it could be easy.
First you will haveto press the little selection button but make sure you have drawn your section first.
Select automatic so that it will be super easy fill in the space you want to fill in and select
Add so that it woill not remove your selection
Then Invert.
So this is my sequel to blueberry the cow. This time I turned the paper over several times so that my shading was precise neat and blends into each other
For the small blobs, every time I shaded the grey and it hit a blob, I made the edge of the blob darker and then start rhendering around the blob to make it look three-dimensional
As you can see in the picture, I held the colour pencil from far away when I wanted to make the shading light, but when I wanted it dark, I held it close to the edge. but sometimes when I held it too far away it would be a bit difficult to hold.
This is the result of Blueberry the cow. I was really pleased with the shading of the grey and around the blobs. I would give a seven out of ten, but for the blobs a five
For My Melody, I had a hard time deciding whether for the bow to be a hot pink and the ligh pink to be the body or the hot pink for the body and light pink and this one was an example of for the bow to be hot pink and the body to be light pink.
Here I tried to use the light pink for the bow and bright pink for the body. In the end I decided to look at a picture of my melody and her colour was light pink, so I decided to use the bright pink bow and the light pink body.
So first I began by shading the bow with Hot Pink, darkening it at the edges. Then I started rhendering it and then making it light at the end, and when I was finished I started to blend it, mixing the dark with the medium and the medium with the light.
Then for the body I began to darken the edge of body. So I had to turn it over several times to darken the whole body, so I did it step by step, and when I was done I could start with the lightest colour, then the middle tone
Then I held the coloured pencil from afar and coloured it for thethe whole body with it, being careful not to go beyond the lines until I started with the medium tode then very carefully I blended it out really carefull.I also coloured the flowers yellow because I thought it contrasted nicely with the pink.
So those are the colours I used, and as you will be able to see, that this time I learned from my last mistake and sharpened my pencil to make it easier and neater.
So this is what it looks like and I really like it very much, because I really like pastel colours and also the contrast between the colours.
So this is the finished product of how it looks on paper. with all of them I think my favourite is My Melody because I think for this one the rhendering is really good here and in my opinion I really like this one and also the contrast between yellow and pink.
So here I am writing comments on how I liked it and how I imagine the layers of the microbit are going to be, whether one is going to be bigger than the other or one is going to be smaller than the other. So I would look at my designs and look at the places where I want to look three dimensional..
Now this is the finished product with all the text, the drawing and the rhendering I think for the design my favourite would either be My Melody or Darling, but for the rhendering I think my favourite was also My Melody, but it could also be Blueberry, so I think that the overall winner would be My Melody.
This is an example of my friend holding one of the example micro bit gaming consoles. I can see that this console is really easy to hold in my eyes, but when I asked my friend for her opinion, she also said that she thought it was really easy to hold so I think that if I am ggoing to make an animal based gaming console I will try and make it a little bit similar to the example one so that it is easier to use.
Now these are more examples of the micro bit. For this one I didn't get my friend to hold it, but from my point of view I thought that it looked a bit difficult to hold because the curves were not as curved as the one my friend was holding.
I think that this was the same as the one my friend was holding, only not coloured and textured, because in the one my friend was holding, the red part felt a bit scratchy, like sandpaper. So I think that the reason is thatmif your hands are sweaty the sandpaper bit still won't fall out of your hands and you can still play.
This one was kind of like the other one but I was a bit confused on what the straight lines at the back were. Were they things to hold it?
So this is a website that helped me create my gifs. I just searched for gif maker and found a number of websites, of which I liked. I decided that this one was the one that I liked the most because you can customise the settings.
You would have to click on the add picture and then choose whether you want to add a picture or a video. I chose to add a video showing how I rhender my designs, and then I chose how many seconds I wanted the video to last. I also found out that the gif could not be longer that about 5 seconds or else the sites website will reload.
Then I just select the image.I had to select the ones with minutes and seconds on them and then change the seconds of them to something less than 10 or 7
As you can see I tried to make the titles of my designs placed very uniquely so that none of it were the same.
At first, I just did it normally by writing the name of my design normally and then I looked around and saw that all my friends were doing the same thing. When I saw that, I decided I wanted my designs to be different from other people. My aim became to make it to Stand Out.
After I decided to do this, I saw that the name was at the top, so for Blueberry I moved the name to the bottom. When I looked at it, I really liked it and how it turned out. In particular, it felt and looked really unique from other peoples, making it really special for me!
Again I looked at it but I had a bit of trouble deciding how I would make Darling and My Melody differently. It was a bit difficult because they were my favourites and I wanted them to be really unique and different from the other designs It was then I had a great idea!
At last, I finally found a great solution to my dilemma and predicament. I have decided to write the words sideways and in WHOLE CAPITAL! At first, I only did it lightly in case I didn't like it, but it turned out not to be necessary because I loved it and it looked very exclusive and particular.
So this is a really cool website that helps me with my text and my writing. It adapts and modifies my texts, but sometimes if I do not agree with it, I can just change that bit about it so that it is to my liking.
So this is the button that you press when you are done. It looks like an arrow, but to be able to press it you have to enter at least 50 characters and it has to be in cannot be in thai or any other language it can only be english.
If you hold the key down for a long time, for example like 5 seconds, it will switch to "Improve" because it improves your writing.
You can also change the language settings, but not the actual language, only the British or US language. Also, you can set the tone to automatic, formal or informal, but I mostly use formal because I aim for my writing to be formal and accessible
When I press the 'Improve' button on the right-hand side of the screen, a small page appears with hints on how I should improve or any grammatical mistakes I might have made. This way I also learn from my mistakes and try to reduce them as much as possible.
If I move the mouse over the section marked in red, I can choose a tick or a cross. A tick would mean that I change the text as the website suggests, but the cross means that I don't agree with it and think that I like the way I wrote it better.
This is a template of my own project. For me it was not the best I could have done, one reason is because I was in my car and another reason is because I was not really focused on the shape but more about the colouring and texture of the work. I think that it was okay that it was not the best.I know that next time I will do it more meticulously .
This is a gif of me roughly sketching my work.I only did it roughly as it was just the beginning of my work and I wanted to make it more assiduously and comprehensively. There will be some rough edges and blank and white areas as I have not done it carefully yet
Now I am just filling in the blank spaces and rough edges with a brush called water colour which is a less texture brush than oil paint. It also blend more less which is a good and a bad thing .I will also be using this brush soon. I used a darker colour for the water colour paint for a 3D effect and I hope that it really turns out 3D because I tried really hard because while this app has really good and textured brushed To have layers you would have to pay , which will mean that if you are using oil paint which is a really good texture the lines will get blended for example if you draw with black a hintoof black will get blended into your colour.
Now I am trying to do what Mr Douglas taugh me but since I do not have the same brush set as the one he imported onto the school iPad I will have to try and find an efficient way to get it on to my ipad because if I continue doing rough sketches in my free time I will need these brushes so I will have to find a way.z
Using the Art Set app, I began the process of bringing your design to life by carefully selecting the metallic palette and utilizing the brush oil paint feature. The result is a mesmerizing artwork that not only captures the essence of your original creation, but also showcases your exceptional artistic abilities and boundless creativity.
So this is basically me starting to fill in the blank spaces of my draft. It was a bit difficult because for this one I used two colours which was dark blue and a dark purple. and when I zoom in, you can see the sparkles and the metallic glint of the colour, but the bad thing about this is that it was a bit difficult to colour in and sometimes the black would get blended in with the blue, which created an unsatisfactory effect that I did not really like so I would have to redo a bit but this is just a sped up gif As I took a bit of the parts where I screen recorded out.
This is the same as the one above about the carefull and utmost precise selection of the colour and utilizing the brush that you would use and how the artwork would then turn out and hot it captures the attention because of the beautiful glitters and sparked and it also shows us how if you research enough you will find a beautiful and exceptional app that helps you create a beautiful and original art piece.
I tried using different textures like for this one .It is like a water colour painting.I really enjy lookingat my artwotk because I think that it looks great and I am very proud of myself for achieving this.I also really like the colour of my design as it is a light and peach colour which kind of gives me a pop and bright kind of vibe which I really like so this one might be one of my favourites!
This is a very different texture form the water colour one as this brush is called oil paint and it has a very thick texture and very glossy. It is a very good brush but even if it has a lot of pros ir also has a lot of cons which is that if I go to near to the black edge the colours will smudge together so you have to be really careful.
One way of how I do it very carefully is that first I just go around the shape then I colour it in and blend it because as you can see blending results in that beautiful glow if you are using bright colours but when I am finished with that I get the water colour bruh and go around the edges ans that brush does not smudge.
That is because the one there has been blended and drawn over carefully by the water colour brush but this one has not so I would like to ask the people who are looking at this site to choose do you think that the bright and vibrant one is better or the dark on with only a bit of highlights in down below will be a google form to choose which one you like more!
IF YOU LIKE THIS ONE PUT B
So this is a finished one with the shadow and highlinght I really trued my best with this but because I did not have the same brush set as Mr Douglas it did not turn out quite as good so I was a bit dissapointed but I was still really proud of my achievment.
This is how I adjusted the brush. I double-tapped on the brush and went to its settings. I went to saturation and then firstly I went to. streamline and turned the amount and pressure up to make the lines smoother so there are no jagged edges. I tried and played around a few times until I decided that it was correct. Then I went to Stabilization and motion filtering and just turned it up a little bit because when you do too much it will make the shape look really weird and it won't be able to go curved.
This is how big the design has to be and how small. I think that the design is really agreeable but I had a bit of difficulty because I used a template and I traced so it was a bit difficult to find the one that matched the design restrictions perfectly. Luckily all of mine fit the restrictions except for the horse but Mr Douglas said that it should be fine so I agreed and started the tracing.
I am tracing my first design, My Melody, so people might be confused about why, if my design is My Melody then why am I using a Cinnamoroll template? The reason is that My Melody has rather sticking-up ears, so if I draw that, it will be out of the design restrictions, but Cinnamoroll has ears that hang down on its head, so that is why I chose a Cinnamoroll template, but sadly, I had to change it as it did not fit my design restrictions, so I took a picture of my paper design and then traced it.
So this is my tracing of the other ones. I am coloring in the horse design too. I really like the texture because I used the set that Mr. Douglas sent to me called Sketch a Day and I used the brush called Water color I really like the texture and how translucent it it and then I started the shading I used the clean soft air to do the highlights and the shadow.
I started the fox design because I had a really good idea for the colour and the texture I was going to do for it. At first, the design was an alpaca but then when I was researching the designs for the other ones I found a really cute fox one which is the one I am using so I was really glad I found it but the reason I didn't use the alpaca is because it was the least favourite of mine so when I found it I changed it to be better. I had to adjust the shadow and highlight of the horse and then I moved on to the fox and then I was finished.
I started experimenting with the texture and colour for My Melody so I already knew the colour for the bow and flowers but it took a bit of time because I wanted to make sure it was perfectly shaded then I used a really cool brush which made my colour bright and the texture unique. I then moved on to the shadow which wasn't that difficult but it was still more difficult than the fox but less difficult than the horse so it was alright.
I showed Mr.Douglas my horse, My Melody, and the ox and he said that his favorite was the fox because of the colours and the style and texture so I tried to make the cow similar to the fox but it didn't turn out as great but I still liked it so it was ok but I was a bit upset because I pictured it out to be even better than the fox but I decided that it was fine because I tried my best.
Since I could not choose one of my designs to do colour options, so I chose two of my favorite ones. which were the fox one and the cow one, so for this one was actually kind of an accident but it turned out to be a fortunate serendipity as at first, I was just testing out brushed for the texture and then it turned out I really liked it.
This one was a rainbow and multicoloured one.I started with green to blue and then so on.It might be one of my favourites becuase while it is multicoloured it is also pastel and I am a person who really likes pastel colourse so I really like this one.
This one was kind of a continuation of the last one as the last one finished of at pink this one started of as red.As you can see I also used the same brush so it has the same texture. I think thst this brush is one of my favourites because it is really realistic yet simple.
Yet again this one is another continuation of the last one. Since the last one ended in red this one started in orange but since the colour tone has changed drastically you will be able to see a design in the bottom corner. The designs are little fairy grippers! so when you are holding the controller it will be a bit easy to grip.I added it because I thought my design was a bit plain.
This one is a cotton candy one or my idea of what the cotton candy colours are .I think hat the colours are light blue and light pink. I do not know why but ever since I was a kid I always thought that these were the cotton candy colours. They had a very small but important detail. The colours had to be pastel!
This one is kind of a pink and yellow combination and you will be able to see that the horns are both a different colour. One is compeletely pink and one is completely yellow which I really like. I also thought pink and yellow were a good combination so I did it for this one.
This was a combination of some colours that I really like which are blue, purple, pink and red combination. You can see that this one is not a pastel colour like the other one because I thought that a slight change would be cool.
So since I couldn't choose which of my drawings to do. I chose them both and decided to try some modifications. For the fox one instead of the little ruffles on the ear I decided to make it straight. Then for the 2nd one I did the complete opposite. I decided to make the ears fluffy which at first I thought was cute but when I actually tried it, it felt a bit....weird. For the horn I took this idea from my friend who was also doing something similar and for the cows I didn't think I needed to change anything so I just changed the patterns.
First, I added a duplication from my design on Procreate and added it to the template. I found out that the eye that I drew wasn't able to be seen because I placed it near the hole so I decided to erase.
Then I tried to make it into a 3D view by using select and then distort because my friend recommended for me to use distort and it was an incredibly great tool because even though I thought that making it into a 3D view would be difficult but using this tool made it incredibly easy.
I then tried to make the front view. For me, this part was undoubtedly challenging as I was a bit confused about how to do it. Until my friend showed me how to do it. Then I finally knew how to dod it.
After that, I decided to make my 3D view a bit more 3D by making little lines and then connecting them to make it 3D, but sadly it didn't work out as I expected because every time I tried to connect it. It turned out to look really weird, so then my friend told me to just duplicate it and then rub the color out which was a really good suggestion.
Like my friend suggested I started to slowly rub out the colour in hopes that it would look really cool and 3D.
But disappointingly it didn't look as cool as I expected but still not so bad. I started trying to move it around and adjusting it to see how to make it look cooler until I finally found a great position which made it a whole lot better.
It looked great so then I started trying out some of the lines that I was unable to connect. Firstly I tried the one that I first attempted which looked amazingly ugly because it the horizontal lines looked a bit abnormal.
Then I tried the one that I attempted second which looked almost as slightly bad but still a bit better than my first one and once I saw that one I decided to not go with the lines anyway because it looked better.
So this is how it looked like without the lines and as I slowly tried to adjust it to the right position but still not quite good.
Now this is the one with my lines in the second attempt which actually looked better than the first attempt so I was quiet content with it but I still think the one without the lines are still better.
At the moment this is my favorite one because I have positioned it perfectly and it is undoubtedly better than the other ones and that is a fact.
I am now starting to do the shadow. At first, I started experimenting with brushes to see which brush would work the best for creating shadows which turned out to be soft crispy air which is a procreate brush set that Mr Douglas imported to the class.
First I selected the part that I wanted to create shadow in and the starting slowly and lightly shading it. It was a very slow and steady procedure which was a trial-and-error sort of situation, so when I finally thought that what I did was good I asked Mr. Douglas but it turned out that I needed to colour the 3D layer first and then shade around it
It also turned out that I had to delete the line because my cow has a curved shape so there should not be any lines there so I used the selection tool and pressed on the line and then I slowly and precisely erased it.
So now this is just a picture of me seeing and comparing how it looks with the line and without the line so at first I thought that without the line seemed kind of bare and weird but I soon got used to it and it was fine.
Now this is how I did the shadow. Sadly it was a bit rushed as it was nearly the end of the lesson so this is just a rough shading of how I imagine it to be and I'm sure that next lesson I will be able to complete it and add color with a bit of highlight.
Setting Up + Logging In
These are the two apps that I will be using. As you can see this is Google Chrome. I used Google Chrome instead of Safari as Google made Google sites so Google would support it more than Safari.
Finder is an app where everything you save or download is put into finder which for me is incredibly helpful as it is easy to find whatever you need to save or screenshot.
Instead of putting Google Chrome on full screen, I split-screened so that finder could be on the other side and I could just drag my screenshots into sites since it is a lot more efficient.
The website I am using is called Onshape Education not Onshape because if I used Onshape I would have to pay money but Onshape For Education is free.
On the top right corner, there is a button that says sign in or create a student account I will sign in as I already have an account from past experiences in other years in using onshape.
I just write my email in and surprisingly it has my password automatically saved so I can just log in straight away. I'm a little bit worried that if the password isn't automatically saved next time I might forget it but I will probably remember it so it's fine.
After logging in on the left side of the tab there will be buttons and I would have to choose the one called public which means everyone can observe but cannot edit.
You should search up RST Microbit and then a template that Mrs. Doiglas made should pop up.
As you can see there are 2 options one of which is the correct one which doesn't have a name and the other one which has a name which means that the person has accidentally published their template.
When you get the template there will be a little square with directions on it which when you press a face it will automatically turn to the fact that you press. Personally, I always use top as it is helpful but I sometimes use other faces to look at my design from all views,
Every time you would like to draw something you would have to press sketch and them you would have to use a plane to sketch on. At first you will have to choose the front plane but since I am not done with the first plane I am not moving on just yet.
These are the tools that you can use. I always use the spline and the round one as the spline can be flexible and go anywhere but the round one does the face shape as the head is round. Another tool that I always use it the Mirror as most of my designs are symmetrical.
of sketching my design
These are some of my attempts. For this One I don't like it because of the elongated forehead, but sadly I really liked the ears but this design couldn't be used.
Now this one the problem was with the symmetry is a bit off as you can see a clear proble with the head but the ears are fine but to me they just don't look incredibly appealing.
Now this one I dislike the morse the forehead is extremely long and the ears are shockingly small compared to the size of the head. To sum it up this one is my least favourite one.
Now this one is my favorite one at the moment as I think it looks really cute with its floppy ears and round cheek but the problem is that I am not sure where I will place the horns of the cow so I am a bit worried but aside from that I like this one as the forehead is perfectly sized and the chubby cheeks just provide an incredibly cutesy feel so, therefore, this one is the obvious favourite at the moment as it is better than the ones above with the symmetry and forehead issues.
Sadly I had to change my drawing because it didn't fit the box so I had to change it to something that was bigger and would fit the box which Mr. Douglas drew roughly for me and I would have to adjust it later as it was just a rough drawing and I will have to do the details.
I have adjusted the borns to make it less pointier and more curved.I also tried to change the ears multiple times as it didn't really look like the picture but it was really difficult to do so.
I tried using the reflection tool but sadly it failed miserably as you can see. when the curved ends met it looked terrible and the horns were too long, so I decided to abandon this design and draw another design as this was a fail.
I then found an incredible solution which Mr Douglas found. He imported a picture of my design and then I started tracing it, but there were still a lot of problems but I tried to figure out how to fix it.
It was a bit less dificult to trace it but it was still very difficult as I had to make sure the lines were equal or it wouldn't look equal, so it took a long time but I finally completed it.
This is my design after I extruded it. You can see that the lines are a bit wobbly and the horns a bit weirdly shaped but I decided that it couldn't be perfect and I already tried myself.
This is the side view of my design. There are too parts. The upper part is Part 1 and the lower point is Part 2. Every now and then I take of Part 1 to Check Part 2 and Take of Part 1 to check Part 2 to see if it is correct.
I also had to shell the insides so that it was hollow and you can see that it is hollow by looking at the three squares in the middle.
This is the back of the design and the sides are smooth and plain but other people's side of the design might have other designs like their name or just simple designs.
This is an example of extrusion because since Mr Douglas helped me with my design because it was really difficult so I didn't have time to take a picture of my design after it was extruded.
I decided to just make a basic design by using the square tool and then I just drew a rectangle, selected it and then I pressed extrude. The design is a bout 15-20 millimetres as my design didn't have to be perfect as it was just an example.
This is at the back and right now there is nothing as I was a bit short of time so I had to qiuickly take screenshots for my sites and this is the picture of my design right before the lesson ended.
In this picture you can see a grey outer line of the design and the planes. It is optional to turn them on or off but I just decided to turn them on to see how it looked and I think that it looked cool.
You might be able to see that my design has changed...slightly. The reason for this is because of the lugs and pins. At first, my design didn't fit the lugs and pins so I had to redesign it to make it fin them, so sadly it doesn't look as great but still cute.
I have already done the lugs and pins now and also the supporting walls but I was a little bit disappointed as the design didn't look as great before, so next time I will choose a simpler design so it will be easier to do on onshape. A simple but cute shape basically.
This is the side view and you will be able to see that once you go to the side you won't be able to see the lugs and will only be able to see the pins. In my opinion, I think this is extremely cool. You can also see the lines that I mentioned in the other picture which is pretty cool. You can also see the place where the micro bit can be charged. Mine is a little bit curved because the hole was placed where my cows little hair was sticking up which is unique.
This is the palette and as you can see there are only a few colours and the colours are not really the colours that I like because there is no sky blue and light pink. You can also see that at the bottom there is a hashtag and if you have a colour you like you can see what hashtag that colour is and you can write it down and that colour will appear.
Now this is the mixer. I usually put the little circle on the bar to go near the left as I like pastel colours. At the bottom, you can also see that there is a panel that says custom colours. The use for it is that if you have selected a colour that you really like and you think you will use often you will be able to save it which I think is really useful.
When I was looking around trying to help my friends I saw that most of their designs had colours so I decided to also add colour to mine. First, you go the the sidebar and then you press the part you want to add colour to, for example, part one, and then this menu will appear. There will be a lot of options such as Rename, Properties, and edit appearance. If you want to change you will have to select edit appearance and there will be a lot of colours to choose from. You can select from the pallet or the mixer but the mixer will have more options for the palette. Personally, I usually choose to use the mixer as in the palette there is not really the pastel colours that I like so I usually choose the mixer so I can choose a pastel tone and colour.
In this image, you can see that I am focusing on the process of my google sites.I am incredibly focused on the computer screen where my chosen platform is displayed. The image highlights my dedication, focus and attention to detail I am investing in the creation of my portfolio.
Now in this image I am designing this time on onshape. I finally fninished my design and was just adding the finishing touches by deciding on the colour. I wasn't sure whether I should do rainbow or just blue for the cow but actually I ended up with a completely different approach. Black and blue!
First I began with designing my poster's background and since my design is a cow I decided to design my background with cow patches and then outlining them with neon lining and a bit of text and then turning the opacity low.
This is an animation that I worked very hard to do as the animations were very complex and difficult so I had to try my best. I really liked the animations at the start and the way the pictures wiggle at the start. I also liked the outlines and details of my work like how I outlined the curve and wrote details.
One thing that I didn't like that much was the way a part of the background kept overlapping my final design which was extremely annoying, but I couldn't change it because if I did I would have to do the whole thing again and I wouldn't have enough time to do it again as the whole process takes a very long time but it still very rewarding.
This is my design and I tried to base it on an example image that Mr. Douglas showed. I really liked the end result but if I had more time I would have attempted to make it a gif but I was scared I would run out of time. I decorated putting squares in the background and then lowering the opacity to make it look cool. For the title I used an outline brush to make more 3D and pretty. I used a website call procreate brushes work .
This is a time lapse video converted inta a gif of me taking off the structure of my design. It was a very difficult and careful process because if I did it too hard it would break. Before we started to take off the structure, Mr Douglas explained what the uses of the structure and how it works. I was a bit worried as I thought that it would be really difficult to take off but it turned out that it wasn't as difficult as I thought, so I was happily surprised
I was using my hands but you are also allowed to use scissors and a tool to take it out for the most pard I used my hands but as it was getting more difficult I have to resort to using the tool which was mcuh easier but since there were only tow of them I had to wait for a bit before I started using them.I felt like when I was using the tool my working was quicker and more efficient so I will try and improve when I'm taking off the structure with my hands.
it was a but dangerous so you had to wear safety goggles to avoid specs of the structure from going into your eye but it could still fly onto your lips. The bigger parts wouldn't hurt that much but the smaller parts hurt a lot and would fly onto my lips sometimes. When I first started I forgot to put on safety glasses so a piece of the structure flew into my eye, safe to say that I learn my lesson (it was incredibly painful)
Now that I'm reaching the end it's getting more and more difficult to take off the structure as the parts of the structure left was in small corners and not to mention they were very sharp. Since it was difficult I had to be a bit more rough with it and ended up accidentally crackd a bit of my design but luckily it was only a small piece that could be stuck together.
This is the piece that I accidentally cracked. As I said, I was really lucky that it was only a small piece so it could be stuck together with a hot glue gun, but that means that I now have an extra step of sanding the hot glue gun so after I cracked it I became a lot more gentle and careful with my design. After i twas stuck together it turned out that I didnt have to sand it off anymore as it wouldn't be seen anyways so it took out the extra time I had to spend which was great.
This was before I took off the structure and as you can see there was a lot so it took me a lot of time to take it off. WHile this one has a lot it sometimes depends on the design as some of them have a lot of structure while some of them have Even yhought it seems like having less structure is easy for me this one was more easier than the one with less structure because I could take out a lot at a time.
This is an example of not that much structure as in this one there is only a little bit at the front and even les at the back, which meant that this one was slightly easier than the other oone but they were still a similar difficulty. In contrast to the other one which was easier to do this one was more difficult as it had small sharp pieces which was a bit painful so this one was a bit more difficult.
This is the after result of my design and on the left side has a tiny crack but the one on the right is doesn't have a scratch. I liked the end result but I think that after i sand it it will be better. WWW: I think that the way I worked was very efficient EBI: I could ahve been more gentler and a bit more quicker.
After I finished taking off the structure off my design I started to use an 800 grit sandpaper and a 200 grit one. The one I used the most was the 800 grit one because the 200 grit one was a bit too rough and I was afraid that it would harm the design but when there were scratches I would use the 200 grit one because it was more efficient and quick since like I said it was more rough but luckily my design neve rbroke because of the sandpaper but because of other reasons.
This is an example of the 800 sand paper and200 sand paper
Some research about it: FROM GOOGLE
what I wrote/ MY Prompt : An explanation of what sand paper is.
800 up : Grade :Ultra-Fine USe: Polishing wood and metal, sanding between finish coats, wet sanding (when water proof :
Sandpaper is a type of abrasive material used primarily for smoothing surfaces or removing unwanted material from various objects. It typically consists of a backing material, such as paper or cloth, onto which abrasive particles are bonded. These abrasive particles are usually made of minerals like aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, or garnet, which are hard and rough enough to grind away material.
The backing material provides support and flexibility, allowing the sandpaper to be used effectively on curved or irregular surfaces. The abrasive particles, which come in various grit sizes ranging from coarse to fine, determine the level of abrasiveness and the smoothness of the finish achieved.
Sandpaper is commonly used in woodworking, metalworking, automotive repair, and various other applications where smoothing or shaping surfaces is necessary. It can be used by hand or attached to power tools such as sanders to expedite the sanding process.
After that I moved on to the filing so that the two pieces could fit together. Mine were incredibly difficult as it was way too long to fit inside so I had to spend quite a lot of time filing and shaping it.It was much easier to use a flat file then a round file so I had to test which flat one could I use the most easily. My design was quite flexible which is a good and bad thing as it can break easily but it was also a good thing because i could file more quickly,
On my first attempt I was quite struggling so Mr Douglas had to come and help me because as I said my design was very difficult to fit together. Mr Douglas said that if I wanted them to fit together I had to file it down to the very bottom or else it wouldn't fit so it took quite a large amount of time and after one lesson I still have one left.
It turned out that as I said that my design was extremely flexible and easy to break it did break. Just a few moments after the lesson ended my friend bumped into me and made me drop it and it broke in half but luckily Mr Douglas had a solution. Since it was a clean crack he could use hot glue gun and glue it together and then I could sand the glue off and when I hydro drip it the stain would be gone which I was very happy about.
This is the first crack I made which luckily was small so it coild be fixed easily using hot glue gun and you wouldn't even be able to see the crack because I would have to attach both of them together.
This is the second carack which is way bigger than the first one but surprisingly it was a clean crack which means that it will also be easy to fix using a hot glue gun and then I can sand it off.
A research on what filing is or what a file is?
What I wrote/My Prompt: An explanation of what filing is and how to use it.
A file is a handheld tool used for shaping, smoothing, or removing material from a workpiece. It consists of a hardened steel bar with small, sharp ridges or teeth along its surface, which are designed to gradually shave away material when rubbed against the workpiece in a back-and-forth motion. Files come in various shapes and sizes to suit different tasks, such as flat files for smoothing flat surfaces, round files for enlarging holes or shaping curved surfaces, and half-round files for working on concave or convex surfaces. They are commonly used in metalworking, woodworking, and other crafts to achieve precise shapes or to smooth rough edges.
Filing is a process used to shape, smooth, or remove material from a workpiece using a tool called a file. A file typically consists of a hardened steel bar with small, sharp ridges or teeth along its surface. These teeth are designed to gradually shave away material when the file is rubbed against the workpiece in a back-and-forth motion.
FROM GOOGLE
This is a poster that I made in my freetime to try and improve my score to a 9/10 or even better 10/10. I write aboutthe structure of my design and about it. On the bottom left is about the equipment used like sandpaper and filing. I was trying to find one where they labeled the names of the files and sand papers but sadly I couldn't find any and on the top there is a before and after picture. As you can see on the top there is also about the structures and how much there are. I tried to design it to look like clouds to make it look cute and I really liked the end result.
This is my fiished work with only one more pin left and I would be done and then the next steps would be to wash it then hydro drip it which I was looking forward to doing because when I saw the tutorial video I thought it looked very intereting.
Now last lesson like I said I already finished 3 of the pins and so I started working on my last pin which took a short while, maybe about five to ten minutes . After that i tried fitting it in together to see if it fit bud sadly it still didn't fit together that well so I had to continue filing it but it was soon finished so I went to ask Mr DOuglas if I was finished.
The result of my question was that Mr DOuglas told me I was finished but when I was prepared to go wash it off I found out the side of my design had very sharp edges so Mr DOuglas told me to go sand it off. After a few minutes of sandingItried touching all the edges and I found out it was alright and the result was satisfactory but when I looked at other people's design the front off their design was very smooth so I decided to sand the top.
I decided to get a ssandpaper with a very rough grit to make my design was very smooth like all of of my other friends so I started sanding it checking every few minutes to see if it was smotth enough.A very useful technique which is to get the sanpaper then either break it it half or fold it (for me folding is qay more efficent because you don't have to break it. The reason I use this technique is so a corner of the square can go into corners making it easier to sand.
On the table you can see lots of dust as I was starting to finish it and was trying to make it perfect, but just in between of me sanding Mrs Douglas came and gave me some noise cancelling earmuffs because there was lots of noise next door and soon after that i finished and went to wash it. To record it I asked my friend to help me record and went over to the sink and get a paintbrush to take the dust off small corners .
This is the reslut after I washed it using a paintbrush to get into all the small corners. After I tried washing it very thoroughly I went and put it at the table and then asked my friend to take a picture for me as i was going to go get some tissue papers.
On the left side you can see the crack thta happened when I dropped it and Mr Douglas helped me use a hot glue gun to stick it together and on the bottom corner you can also see the crack I also made but smaller and a lot easier to fix.
Then a terrible terrible accident occured as I was drying my design it tragically broke one again and I had to go tell Mr Douglas that I sadly broke my design again and this piece you can see on the table is the side that luckily is not broken.
This is the piece that was broken. From far away it might look like the same place but sadly it is not and its a new crack once again.Surprisingly and luckily the crack was still a clean one and Mr Douglas said that it could be fixed easily but I was still dissapointed as this will mke the whole hydrodripping proccess more longer and difficult as I will have to do it one by one.
Using the hot glue gun and a medium size stick to glue it onto my design. The reason for doing that is so that when I finally hdrodripp my fingers won't be in the way and get messy. An important precaution is not too use too much hot glue so that when I have to take it off it doesn't break my design.
Since we ran out of time I had to write on the stick to see what colour of base coat I wanted to do which was light pink and I think that instead of using a hydro drip sticker I think I will just use spray paint on water and then dip it in.
I already put on the wooden stick so whats left to do is I have to go put the primer one which the colour I chose is light pink and then after that I will hydro drip. Instead of using the hydro dip sticker I think I will just use some spray paint and then spray it on water then dip it in because I think it would look cooler, but another idea is to use a spare piece of wood to have a go at both ways and then see which one I like the most. In my opinion I think I will like spraying the paint on water more but you never know I might like the sticker more.
This is my design which I chose the colour light pink even thought it didnt really turn out light pink I still think its really pretty amd I really like it even though it didnt turn out the way that I expected it too which was completley fine in my opinion and it still turned out really cute.
Now this is the side view you can see that on the wooden stick there is little sprays of hot pink but the pen ink that i wrote on it was stll visible. If you look at the top you can see at the charging hole which I really liked the shape of because it wasn't just a square but it also had a bit of a swirly shape
This is the back of my design. You can see that it has a bit of pink stains at the back which are usually on the pins and the edges of my design but surprisingly it stands out a lot which isn't that bad but I just think it really pops and stand out but when I put my 2 designs together I wont see it anyways.
Now thinking about the texture of my design after the colour was sprayed on it, I really liked the texture as it was smooth and cold, kind of plasticky which I really like because I think the texture is really cool and you can see that the spray paint have some dark spots and light spots.
This is Olivia's design a bow which I think look really cute. She already finished both of her desgins and is already moving on to the second stage which the hydro dipping but I don't think she finished yet but still is very impressive as I am still not finsihed
Olivia also did a bright pink even though she also wrote light pink but we both got this colour.Even though it was not like we had expected me and olivia agreed it still looked cool, cute and pretty. Some of my other friends also got this pink such as Alice.
This is an image of the crack that happened while I was drying my design. Luckily again it was a clean crack so it was easy to fix together but it turned out that it was a different place than my last crack which is a bid upsetting because I feel like I shoudl have been more carefull with my design
This is on the other side which has a lot of stains and another reason I believe that my work is easy to crack is because while other people's shell is like about 1.5 to 1.8 while mine was a 0.8 which made other people comment on how thin my design looked as you could see through it and it looked translucent.
After I finished sanding, filing an washing the design that cracked I went over to the hot glue gun statiom and glued a medium sized stick to my design. I tried to place the stick somewhere far from the crack incase when I had to take the wooden stick off it might crack and break again if I put the stick close to the crack. The priming colour that my friends used was a light green but the one I used was a grey which I kind of prefered to the green but if I had to use the green it would still be fine for me.
This is what my design looked like after the priming. I think for my first attempt it was really good because at first I was a bit afraid that it would be drippy but it turned out to be fine and I really liked how it turned out, but I wonder a bit how it would look like if it was a light green
This is the side of my work which sadly turned out a bit dismal as the spray didn't really go onto the design which is a dissapointing mistake but when I asked the teacher ( Mr DOugls) if it was okay he said that it was fine but I was a bit worried about it but not anymore because when I looked at other people some was also similar to mine.
While on this side is has more spray paint even though it still had a bit of blank places, so I think its atleast better than the other one because that one had nearly no spray paint on it at all so I was still a bit proud of my spray painting work because like I said before it was my first attempt at spray painting and I really liked it.
Since this was my first attemp of spray painting I really enjoyded it because it was really fun and I think its really cool because it was a really interesting experience and apparently someone told me that the noise inside the spray paint is made by marbles but I am not quite sure if its actually true.
After using the grey primer instead of using the pink spray paint again I decided to use a white like Oliva but at fist I was a bit undecided about to do white or purple but then I decided to choose white because I fealt like it would be a good match incase my hydro dip would look good in white or blue so then I decided to use a white spreay paint instead of the pink one again and also the purple one.
This time in this design I was really dissapointed because this one instead of being similar to the other one and had more improvement my design was even more drippy than the first one which you will be able to see by looking at the bottom of the design because of me spray painting it too much and making it drippy
This time my paint covered all of the design but like I said was really drippy which was kind of funny becase at first it wasn't drippy but didn't cover anything now this one was extremely drippy but covered everything so I thought it was a bit funny but still a bit upsetting and dissapointing and I decided that next time I will make it less drippy but still covering anything.
You can now see that now in this design the spray has gone all the way over to the back which makes it really really obvious that I sprayed too much on my design until it sprayed all the way to the back. Even though it was a big mistake in my part it still looked pretty cool in my opinion because of the little sprays of paint on the corners and sides of my design
Now on this side it is so very obvious that I sprayed too much because look at how much paint it has and how it is dripping at the bottom as a result to that I have hereby resulted that next time I will try to be more careful when spraying the spray paint if I get to do it another time again because I really enjoyed spray painting and am looking forward to hydro dipping,
I I have now come to the end of my microbit project and I have designed a cow using onshape, hydro dripping, files, sanding papers and a 3D printer.I most enjoyed creating and designing posters in class and in my own time but it was a bit challenging as before as I used to have a macbook which couldn't take pictures which meant I had less time as I would have to use the DT ipad to insert images which meant I had less time to do posters and it had longer and more complicated steps. I found using onshape challenging but at the end I believe that it turned out all right. I think my website turned out great as I have a lot of pictures but not just pictures also gifs which took a very long time to convert as I would recod myself using timelapse and then convert them into gifs. All of my pictures and gifs have an appropriate amount of text adn sometimes even more, I worked really hard on it working on it, trying to make it the best I can by converting all the timelapse videos into gifs which took a long time and had very complicated and difficult steps and I sometimesI would come in at break to edit my website on the computer next door. An area I feel that reallt I struggled in was onshape as my design was really difficult to draw and design. The main skills I developed was creating posters that had a good design and labels. I am setting myself a target to next time work more quickly and more efficiently on onshape, I also think that I need to improve my sanding and filing skills because I was a bit slow with my work so I think next time I should try to be quicker and more efficient with my work. I also think that maybe I could imporve a little bit with my sketching work at the start and think more about how complicated my design was so it would be easier to do on onshape so I think I have 3 key stage of improvement and next year I will try to improve for all of them
This is the design that I just finished spraying the white colour and sadly the result isn't as good as I hoped because like I said in my last comment I sprayed too much and it became really drippy and wet and it's very obvious now as you see that the paint layer is very thin and there are some stains and a spot where the spray paint hasn't covered so right now I am hoping that when I hydrodrip it will cover them.
This is me starting to hydro drip. I chose the colours blue, gold and white and like I said into of using the hydro drip sticker I used spraypaint and then I sprayed it onto the water. The water was in a bucket and consisted on some normal emperatured wanter and some hot water.
I then started lowering my design into the water hoping for the best outcome possible and hoping it would look really coold and pretty but since it was my first time hydro dripping I was a bit confused on how to do it but Mr DOuglas helped a lot by explaining the steps to me while I was doing it and surre enough I got the hang of it.
After dipping my first design in Mr DOuglas used what looked like a little net to get the residue of the spray paint that was left from the past designs like the stickers or spray paints. I thought it looked really cool because it was like a little butterfly net but instead of catching butterflies it caught the left over paint instead.
THis is my second attempt and it looks even better than I imagined at first I was really worried about the hot pink but it surprisingly turned out really pretty and the colours matched eachother and fit together really well and this time I really got the hang of it but maybe another reason it turned out so good because I changed the regular blue to a dark blue.
SO this is the finished results and it turned out really pretty and I am very very happy about the results of both of them but I especially like the pink one but also like Mr Douglas predicted once I hydro dripped the crack on my white one didn't show and I was so very happy about that because I was a teeny tiny bit worried about if the crack would whow or not.
