What is hardwood?

To make timber, first, trees are felled and transported to a sawmill. At the mill, the logs are debarked, sawn into boards and planks, and then trimmed and edged to remove defects and irregular shapes. Finally, the wood is dried in a kiln or by air, graded for quality, and then shipped for use
How do you make timber? A more slow and step by step version:
Step 1: Harvesting and transport, trees are cut down,trimmed into logs and transpored from the forest to the sawmill
Step 2: They're processed at the mill, logs are debarked and sawn into planks using different cutting methods. The boards are then endged and trimmed to standard sizes.
Step 3: Drying and finishing, lumber is dried by air or kiln to reduce moisture, then planed smooth graded for quality and packaged for distribution.
