- October 28 is commemorated as Youth Pledge Day, where Indonesian youth promise that they speak one language, namely Indonesian. Youth Pledge Day 2024 upholds the theme of advancing Indonesia together. This is what pioneered October as Language Month.
- The Language Month celebration at Petra 5 Christian Middle School this year was celebrated on October 30. On that day, all school residents wore traditional Indonesian clothes (Javanese, Batak, Balinese, Papuan, Madurese and others). To start the language month celebration, it began with a flag ceremony led directly by Mr. Ngatmin as the Principal of Petra 5 Middle School, to commemorate Youth Pledge Day.
- After the ceremony, various competition activities will be held which are participated by students such as fashion parades, writing short stories, reading poetry, 3D wall magazines, English Speeches, Mandarin Creations.
- Hopefully with the commemoration of Youth Pledge Day, it is hoped that we can all be more enthusiastic in achieving our ideals and our love for Indonesia will be deeper and more loyal.
Happy Youth Pledge Day
Via Dolorosa is the path that Jesus took while carrying the cross to the place of his crucifixion on Mount Calvary or Golgotha. Via Dolorosa comes from Latin which means the path of misery or the path of suffering. Precisely on April 4, 2024, students of Petra 5 Christian Middle School held an Easter celebration on the school field, by carrying out a short Way of the Cross. Where students wear special clothes such as robes and they do a series of meditations and prayers that will remind us of Jesus' suffering along the way to the place of His crucifixion. This has a deep meaning for students to learn to appreciate the sacrifice of Jesus Christ more and learn about Love and forgiveness for others. From this Via Dolorosa activity, students are invited to reflect on the values of life that are full of sacrifice, forgiveness, and love

Rally games, a fashion display, fan cheers, and a bulletin board design were among the entertaining activities that kicked off the school's celebration of Indonesian Independence Day. In order to promote teamwork among participants, the rally games featured traditional team-building exercises such toothpick tower construction, marble and rubber band relays, sarong volleyball, and cracker-eating competition. In the meantime, students imaginatively created displays centered around the topic of Indonesian Independence for the bulletin board competition, while supporters applauded with animated cries representing each class. Class representatives modeled outfits constructed from recycled materials for the fashion show, which attracted the most attention and transformed the occasion into a colorful, environmentally friendly fashion parade.
