Standards

The ISTE Standards have a great impact on teaching and learning because they give both educators and students a clear path when using technology. For educators, these standards help with creating meaningful lessons. For students, these standards outline what skills they should have and know. These standards for educators and students work together to help create meaningful classroom experience.

I believe Edu Tech helped me achieve the ISTE Standards in many ways. For every assignment, we were asked to link an ISTE Standard to the assignment, and I believe that helped me understand how the standards apply to assignments. When creating lessons in this class, we were also asked to keep the ISTE standards in mind or even use them for a lesson. Doing these types of activities helped me gather a great understanding of how to use, apply, and learn from these standards.
