Educational Technology is apps or software that enhances learning and teaching. This could look like a laptop, tablet, website, whiteboards, etc. These tools are used to create personalized learning experiences that adapts to student needs, keep motivation in students, and promote collaboration.
According to Oxford English Dictionary the definition of a blog is, "A frequently updated website, typically run by a single person and consisting of personal observations arranged in chronological order, excerpts from other sources, hyperlinks to other sites, etc.; an online journal or diary" (1999)1. The purpose of a blog is to get desired information out to a cultivated audience. Blogger is a website that creates personal journals that can be shared. A few positives that can come from using this website could be easier connection to students and families. It also could be used in the classroom to show a schedule for the day and lastly, a teacher could use it to introduce themselves to students and families.
ISTE standards for Educators
Learner
Educators continually improve their practice by learning from and with others and exploring proven and promising practices that leverage technology to improve student learning. Educators:
a. Set professional learning goals to explore and apply pedagogical approaches made possible by technology and reflect on their effectiveness.
b. Pursue professional interests be creating and actively participating in local and global learning networks.
c. Stay current with research that supports improved student learning outcomes, including finding from the learning sciences.
7. Analyst
Educators understand and use data to drive their instruction and support students in achieving their goals. Educators:
a. Provide alternative ways for students to demonstrate competency and reflect on their learning using technology.
b. Use technology to design and implement a variety of formative and summative assessments that accommodate learners needs, provide timely feedback to students and inform instruction.
c. Use assessment data to guide progress and communicate with students, parents and education stakeholders to build student self-direction.
ISTE Standards for Students
2.Digital Citizen
Students recognize the rights, responsibilities and opportunities of living, learning and working in an interconnected digital world, and they act and model in ways that are safe, legal, and ethical. Students:
a. Cultivate and manage their digital identify and reputation and are aware of the permanence of their actions in the digital world.
b. Engage in positive, legal and ethical behavior when using technology, including social interactions online or when using networked devices.
c. Demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the rights and obligations of using and sharing intellectual property.
d. Manage their personal data to maintain digital privacy and security and are aware of data collection used to track their navigation online.
3. Knowledge Constructor
Students critically curate a variety of recourses using digital tools to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and make meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others. Students:
a. Plan and employ effective research strategies to locate information and other resources for their intellectual or creative pursuits.
b. Evaluate the accuracy, perspective, credibility and relevance of information, media, data or other resources.
c. Curate information from digital resources using a variety of tools and methods to create collections of artifacts that demonstrate meaningful connections or conclusions
d. Build knowledge by actively exploring real-world issues and problems, developing ideas and theories and pursing answers and solutions.
Web Resource Kit
Reflection:
For this project we created an analysis of several different websites and technologies relating to our future careers. I liked this project because we reviewed multiple technologies that I would actually use in the future. I plan to look back on this for technologies to apply in my future classroom.
This technology will accomplish the following ISTE standards:

1.Empowered Learner
Students leverage technology to take an active role in choosing achieving and demonstrating competency in their learning goals, informed by the learning sciences. Students:
a. Articulate and set personal learning goals, develop strategies leveraging technology to achieve them and reflect on the learning process itself to improve learning outcomes.
b. Build networks and customize their learning environments in ways that support learning process.
c. Use technology to seek feedback that informs and improves their practice and to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways.
d. Understand the fundamental concepts of technology operations, demonstrate the ability to choose, use and troubleshoot current technologies and are able to transfer their knowledge to explore emerging technologies.

Website Evaluations
IXL
I gave IXL a 33/40 on this rubric. I gave IXL this score because I feel as if the information provided within the website does provide valuable education. It just simply isn't attractive to the student or educator. The look of it is sort of boring, but it is very well organized with the bold letters and boxes. IXl offers student data for teachers and adjusts according to student levels. There are not many dates provided on the website, but it does have the curriculum it follows. IXL also provides accessibility and assistance. Overall, it could be beneficial within a classroom.
ABCYA
ABCYA earned a 24/40. I gave this website this score because it looks attractive with the background, but I think it could be distracting. The background also makes the website look sloppy in my opinion. The website was organized in a pattern like the solar system which is pretty cool but contains barely any dates for the curriculum provided and the website itself. I did not see many accessibility options but there was read aloud for questions. The website seems to be meant for learners to do on their own.

5. Design
Educators design authentic, learner driven activities and environments that recognize and accommodate learner variability. Educators:
a. Use technology to create, adapt and personalize learning experiences that foster independent learning and accommodate learner differences and needs
b. Design authentic learning activities that align with content area standards and use digital tools and resources to maximize active, deep learning.
c. Explore and apply instructional design principals to create innovate digital learning environments that engage and support learning.

Cyber Safety Kit
Reflection:
I really liked this project for many reasons. I liked the technology Sutori and I do think I will use this in the future as a walk along. Sutori was easy to use and easy to transfer from app to app. I liked the content of the project as well. I think the Cyber Safety Kit make a very clear connection to the ISTE Standards. I do plan on using Sutori in the future.

Reflection:
While doing this project I looked back on all of the past projects from this semester. I did not realize how much I learned from this class until this project. I learned about how to apply standards, and I learned that the ISTE standards are applied in Ohio. My classmates also reminded me of the UDL guidelines and while not in my project, I do think they are also a very important takeaway!
