About

Welcome to the website for Oak Park & River Forest High School's Crest Magazine! We are pleased to present current students' work, digitized older editions of Crest, as well as information regarding submissions. If you are a parent, relative, or a student yourself, we encourage you to pick up a physical copy, but we understand that may not be accessible to everyone, so we have uploaded the most recent editions of Crest for you to find any pieces you may be looking for. If you are a student of OPRF and want to submit artwork, please see the FAQ page or email us at crestoprf@gmail.com

Our History

The history of Crest goes as far back as 1895. When the publication began, it was a collection of student news, stories, and drawings known as Tabula. By the 1930s, that publication had separated into the Literary Tabula, a collection of student-produced art and writing, and the Tabula yearbook we know today. In 1950, the Literary Tabula was officially renamed the Crest. Each year Crest's student editors review, grade, and format pieces created by their peers into our annual book, as well as rolling submissions on this website.
