Design Ideas
I made this design on the 20th of March, I created it with the draw tool, spun it around. Duplicated it, adjusted it and made it red to give it an edge. I like it because it has a fun cartoonist style to it, which is engaging to a younger audience.
Further Experimentation
I opened up publisher to start a draft of a design for my brand. I saw the free-form shape tool which immediately spoke to me. I experimented with it and made this shape. Which I duplicated and flipped to overlap together.
I use the rectangle tool to make a rectangle with a purple colour.
However I changed it to a blue/white gradient. Because it looks better suited to a futuristic theme.
Then I directly selected the corners and manipulated it to turn it into a round shape.
Then I copied the shape 3x to make it more logo like.
I thought the middle section looks empty, so I duplicated it again and changed the colour to make the centre the eye catcher.
Then using the Research I did, I picked the Plopin Rough font to explore how it looks with my logo
These are some of the designs I had made. I began with making squares, I initially put them in the corner but felt it didn't make it stand out enough, wasn't related to my brand and felt outdated. So with my brand name being futures for you I started on an F design which I thought fit the theme better.
Another potential idea for logo
Test Photoshoot. I did a test photoshoot a couple of days before to refamiliarize with the studio, camera and photography styles. I am not using this roll of tape, this was just so I had a item to photograph. 80% of the photo's were in focus, 10% were too dark after adjusting camera mode. I changed the colour occasionally, but I haven't had enough survey responses to know my colour. I had a few shots where I moved the item to know the stance of the potential object. Additionally I had far and close shots to vary the types of photographs.
This photo I took near the end. I saw depth of field setting on the camera. This photo looks calm and collected with the stance of the item and how much the item takes up of the photo.
This photo I made use of the hole in the roll. Which could give room for the branding/logo in the middle. It makes it look eligent as it stands out more
I had the idea of mixing photography and illustrations with my marketing material. I choose baygo from my research but thought it might put off my target market. Looking too informal and space esc. However I continued to develop my idea to confirm the thoughts.
This could be the digital advertisement once I have put in a photo in the square of someone pointing. However it doesn't feel right.
To make this I added a rectangle and changed the colour, then inserted the stock image as a placeholder for my photography
This could be another version of it. Possibly used for newsletters or a blog post.
I don't like any of these design's of this because it feels outdated and too simple.
This was all done with adobe illustrator 2022
Potential Logo Idea's
This was a quick idea, think it looks quite bland and boring. However I did encompasses my primary colour scheme. In illustrator. I used the draw line to draw the lines.
I used the gradient tool to give it more vibrancy, the plain pink doesn't really fit. So I think this does fit better.
I prefer this offer the latter, because it is more appeasing to the eye.
I had this a better brighter idea, it might not be that shape, but to use the colour around the border might brighten it up a bit. I could have just a hand with the focus on the thumb pointing up in it.Â
Zoe suggested I look at already made brand logo's and get inspiration from them. I came up with this idea which I am quite happy with, it looks like a gem.
I used the ben tool to make the shape of the red mail looking logo.
I tried to be quirky with this design, it relates to the brand as it is the first letter of the business and the yellow colour of the brand. (This ended up being close to what I finished up with)
I used this tool to move points of the letter, to either make it more round or straight.
I love this futuristic design with it being applied for my f for future for you.
The blue background colour helped with the effect of the reflective display. And didn't overpower the foreground to take the viewers eyes away from it.
I used the object selection tool to select the model with glasses and remove the background from the image, so I could import it into illustrator for my background
I used the template we found on classrooms to get the background and the billboard, then I inserted my marketing and I used the skew tool in transform to make the marketing fit the billboard better.
Overall I think this is too messy to be of use for a business look, it may be useable for public use thought. I think the colour scheme while not planned from survey is still likeable.
I also tried fitting a different design into a instagram post. I found the template on google classrooms and used Adobe to edit. I think it fits the space really well, however using Instagram does seem out of touch for my audience which are businesses.
As I thought the instagram post looked wrong, I then looked at the marketing templates on clipchamp to make a short marketing clip.
I saw this and thought it was flashy and suited the style I was going for. Although I knew I would have to partially edit it to make it fit better. I changed the text and shortened the music as I speeded it up and made it the same time as it was previously.
This advert is very vibrant and poppy. It creates the feeling of an energetic brand. However it is missing some key features of a social media post like hashtags and website name
This is a better revision to reflect better social media post. I also brightened my logo to make it more easier to see in dark lighting conditions.
I used the restaurant template in small business on google sites and modified it to fit my marketing better as it was already pretty minimalistic it was quite simple.
Final Homepage Layout
I like this website as it uses the colour scheme that I had found was the favourite from the survey I did before making my final logo. It is bright and not difficult to look at. It shows existing client portfolio's, that shows that the brand is reputable and that the work is done to a great standard. I have also shown 3 different types of media created for potential clients which shows my skills are wide ranged and not hyper specific to one type of medium. The page isn't actually that wide, had to zoom out to see the whole page. I am really happy with the brand message that I have for when visitors first see the page. There eyes get drawn to it and it makes them think, which is good for reputation.

I added a contact button and a bookings button to make it more business like.
I like this design as it ultimately goes with the colour responses on the survey. Additionally it doesn't feel bland, and is very modern. It simply shows you what the brand is for (marketing), and the colour shows you the personality of the brand.
It will attract the market that I am going for of business to business. As it is positive and vibrant, which most business to business marketing is quite dull, boring and administrative.
