The purpose of this lesson is to instruct students how to assemble the chassis for their combat robots. Students will learn to:
Different types of combat robots
Properties of forces and impact strength
Methods of protecting robots from damage
Fully soldered 150g electrical system
Lithium polymer (LiPo) battery

Chassis: The structure which supports the functioning part of a vehicle, robot, or similar machine.
Body or Armor Panels: The panels on the exterior of a vehicle or robot which covers the electrical components and helps prevent damage to the robotic components.
Force: The push or pull on a structure. For example, weight is a type of force.
Deformation: The process of a structure changing shape because of an outside force.
Impact Strength: The ability of a structure to resist failure due to a high value force which occurs over a short period of time.
