The Program section will show the boxes for the total of sessions of the subject. Each of them can be edited to add the content.
You will be able to establish blocks of sessions.
While editing a session, you can find the following fields:
Type of session
Sustainability topics
Introduction field
A button to edit/add materials (*in case there is a Metasyllabus, there may be proposed or mandatory materials inherited from it)
Additional text field
Indications for Planning field
To add materials, simply click on the "Edit materials" button that appears in each of the sessions.
You should select the type of session for each session. You can select all the sessions type at once or edit each session to select the type.
Live in-person
Live online
Asynchronous
Discussion Forum (only blended programs)
The first two correspond to synchronous category and the other to Asynchronous. Please remind, Discussion forum is reserved only for Online/Blended programs. For an In-person program, forum will be considered as an Asynchronous session.
Depending on the type of session selected, the option to add Virtual Reality Material will be visible. This option is not available when the session type is Discussion Forum.
In order to be able to add these materials, you have to leave the option clicked.
The inclusion of Virtual Reality Materials is done by editing the session materials in two ways: Add from IE Knowledge Catalog or Add material from external sources.
Introduce the desired distribution for the planning of the sessions, that is to say, when two or more sessions need to be shceduled on the same date, you need to combine them in the syllabus. Sessions must be single (1h 20') except when, due to the academic content, double sessions (2h 50') are required but they should be minimized.
In case the content for two or more sessions is the same, but they do not need to take place on the same date, you should not combine them in the syllabys and should paste the same content on each.
You can combine or divide the sessions, as necessary.
CHANGING THE ORDER OF THE SESSIONS
Once the sessions have been filled out and if you want to change the sequence, they can be simply dragged to the desired destination.
The session number will be automatically changed by campus as they are realigned.
For co-teaching subjects, the syllabus will show the option to select the professor/s who will teach each session.
In order to indicate the Sustainability content covered during a session, sustainability topics will displayed for you to choose one or more. It is not mandatory to include them.
We encourage you to reach the IE Sustainability Department members, so they can advise about this matter.
You can add an Introduction and additional text for the session
Each session has a specific field to include comments for professors. This field wont be visible for the students.
When you click on the edit materials button for each session, a pop-up window appears with three options:

Once you add the document, you will be able to select one of the following options, that allows you to fine-tune the visualization set-up.
If none of these options is selected, the document will be available in the e-Syllabus at the same time of publication.
OPTIONAL: It's a recommended material but not mandatory for the session.
HIDE: The material will be hidden from the student view, but its registered in the syllabus to manage the purchase and for usage reports. For instance: Negotiation roles.
NO DOCUMENTATION ASSOCIATED: This option will be enabled as an informative reference that will be used in the session but it will not be available for download or reading.
PUBLISH AFTER CLASS: The material will be available for the student right after the end of the session.
PUBLISH BEFORE CLASS: It allows to set up the specific point of time before the class, when the students will be able to access the material.
PUBLISH DURING CLASS: It allows the publication of the material on an specific moment during the session. Its set up in minutes after the beginnig of the session.
After selecting this option, if any case you need to publish the document earlier, you can access the syllabus from Blackboard and click the Publish Now option for the material.
Below edit materials you can find Suggested and Mandatory materials if there is any in Metasyllabus.
You do not need to do anything regarding mandatory ones as they will be inherited automatically.
As for the suggested ones, you can add them using 3 buttons:
Add all suggested materials from meta (above session box). Applicable to all sessions in the syllabus.
Add all. Applicable to all materials in that session.
Add. Aplicable to that material only.
When you have finished editing the session(s) you need, click on the Finish edition button.
