"Xin chào" [sin chao] = hello
"Tạm biệt" [tarm biet] = good bye
"Hẹn gặp lại" [hand gup lai] = see you again
"Hẹn" = to arrange or promise to meet
"Gặp" = to meet or to see
"Lại" (adverb) = again (AFTER verb)
"Ngày mai gặp lại" [nay my gup lai] = see you tomorrow
"Ngày" = day
"Ngày mai" = tomorrow
"Hẹn gặp sớm nhe" [hand gup soum nie] = see you soon
"Sớm nhe" = soon
"Cảm on" [kam uhn] = thank you
"Không có gì" [hong ko zi] = you're welcome
"Không" = no
"Có" = to have
"Gì" = anything
"không có gì" = no it's nothing = you're welcome
"Xin lỗi" [sin loy] = sorry/excuse me
"Xin" = to beg = please
"Lỗi" = mistake
"Xin lỗi" = to beg for someone's mistake = sorry/excuse me
"Có / Vâng" [ko / vang] = yes
"Có" = to have/there is
"Vâng" = to obey
"Không" [hong] = no
"Không, cảm ơn" [hong, kam uhn] = no, thank you
"Ngon lắm" [non lam] = food is good
"Ngon" = yummy
"Lắm" (intensifier) = very (AFTER adjective)
"Hãy chụp ảnh" [hai chup an] = let's take a picture
Hãy" (particle) = let's (imperative tone)
Chup = to take a photograph
Ảnh = a photograph
