After some more brainstorming and researching, I decided to create a hands-on, tangible 3D modeled game called GEOBlockZ. The goal of this game is to out-together a very common 3D shape in different levels.
Easy level consists of objects that have four pieces or less. They are fairly large pieces so they are easy to distinguish.
Medium level objects consists of five pieces to ten pieces. They are also large pieces, but they are a little less easy to distinguish how they are put together.
Hard level objects consists of twenty and more pieces. They are large, but they are the hardest to distinguish how they are put together.
With a game like this elders with Dementia or who are at risk can play to create an object, challenge their brains to create the desired object, and uses their senses to play this challenging, yet brain stimulating game. Also every object will be a different solid color, so those with poor sight, don't mix up the pieces of a cylinder and a star. Another characteristic this game will have, is that there will be grooves on the outsides of the pieces so that they can feel the object. There's also a snapping mechanism where the pieces will snap together indicating that they have successfully make a snap. Although this mechanism isn't super efficient for an elder who doesn't have perfect vision since a snap can also mean they got the pieces together, but incorrect, but by using the grooves on the outside, they can understand that it was a wrong fit.
