I started brainstorming some ideas before any research so that I don't get too influenced to do something already done. At first when I was brainstorming, I wanted to create a game that was digital because I haven't heard of any brain games digital that was solely for senior citizens let alone those who have Dementia and Alzheimers. However, I wanted to keep my options open so I decided to brainstorm ideas on both a physical hands-on game and a digital game.
website type of game
software - TBD
puzzle games
more specifically jigsaw games
Computer Science
to program game on website
integrate the learning and knowledge of computer science, engineering, some physics and math into a game
cognitive skills of dementia patients are said to improve if challenged with simple cognitive games
trying to enhance life of seniors by providing them with brain exercises that they can sit in their bed
easy access
not too complicated since it's digital
does not help patients who have Arthritis since it's digital and can't physically touch the objects to help lessen their joint pain
may not understand if digital since not used to the format
hands-on type of game
something that is tangible
puzzle games
more specifically jigsaw games
3D Modeling
to solve it hands-on
integrate the learning and knowledge of computer science, engineering, some physics and math into a game
cognitive skills of dementia patients are said to improve if challenged with simple cognitive games
trying to enhance life of seniors by providing them with brain exercises that they can sit in their bed
cheap
easy access
tangible
may get frustrated if it doesn't work out for them
