Incorporating Social Justice into math instruction is incredibly valuable to our student's school experience. Many math curriculums used in schools are created by external sources unaware of the population of the school you are working for. As a teacher, you know your students best. It is necessary to make sure that math problems are representative of your school's population. Students should be able to understand the experiences of people in their math problems. Students should see people like themselves when learning about great mathematicians. As a math teacher, let your students know that anyone can be a great mathematician if they work hard.
