During this semester (Fall 2022), I took on the challenge to design an integrated science unit. This unit included science lessons that also taught grade-appropriate Math and ELA standards. My project partner and I created a unit on magnets for the third-grade classroom where we had been placed for pre-practicum work. We created a magnet read-aloud lesson that included standards from both the science and ELA Massachusetts Standards. We also integrated Mathematics instruction into our unit. This project was a great experience where I explored interdisciplinary teaching.

I will use the skills I gained from this experience in my future classroom.
