Welcome to my page! I am Kasey Donahue. I am a senior at Bridgewater State University, where I major in Elementary Education and Spanish.
In my time at BSU, I conducted a research project in conjunction with the Departmental Honors program which sought to explore how student teaching internationally affects domestic teaching later on. Through this research, I was able to explore my interest in international student teaching. I have been lucky enough to student teach in Colombia, and I will be student teaching in Ecuador in the spring of 2024. I hope to bring back the culture and experience I gain from these travels to my future students and create well-informed and culturally aware citizens of the world.
Outside of academics, I was a member of the BSU Dance Company, a Jumpstart Team Leader, and a member of the sorority Phi Sigma Sigma. I held two executive positions in PSS: Member-at-Large and President. While participating in these activities, I practiced communication, time management, and organization skills. I hope to bring what I learned being a leader in these campus organizations with me as a teacher.
After graduation, I plan to start my master's and begin my career as a classroom teacher.
This website is going to be the place where I document all my learning and growth and share resources I’ve found in my studies.
Welcome to my virtual classroom while I wait for the day that I am able to decorate my own classroom for my children. I saw a lot of these during remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic on teachers morning presentations while they waited for students to log on.
