In order to have the best experience in Fitness class it is important that students dress appropriately. Please review the following information with your child so you/they are aware of what is expected of them during their time in my classroom.
How To dress/PREPARE:
We will be OUTSIDE often (weather permitting).
Wear comfortable clothing (that is appropriate for the weather) and SNEAKERS.
Leave all jewelry at home or in the classroom.
Students are welcome to bring a hat and sunglasses.
Bring a WATER BOTTLE.
The ABC’S of Fitness (rules) are as follows...
A - Be ATTENTIVE. Follow directions the first time they are given.
B - Be on your BEST BEHAVIOR.
C - Be COURTEOUS and COOPERATIVE with me and your classmates.
S - Play SMART, SAFE, and with good SPORTSMANSHIP.
If a rule is not followed your discipline will be...
1st Offense - If you violate any of the rules you will receive a verbal warning or a Yellow Card. You will only get one warning per class period.
2nd Offense - If I need to speak to you again during the same class period, you will receive a Red Card. A Red Card means you will sit out of the activity. You will be permitted to return when you change your behavior and can come back to the activity ready to learn.
*** If you display repeated behavior problems in the following classes, your parents will be notified and a discipline report will be sent home ***
Medical Concerns:
If you get injured in Fitness class and it goes unnoticed, please make me aware of it prior to leaving class.
You will need a parental or doctor’s note in order to be excused from Fitness class.
Upon your return from an excused absence for a serious illness, injury, or surgery, I will need a note that states when you are able to return as an active participant in class.
