2/26 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed local/world events. We continued on red book #1 and did notes Unit 2 below. We reviewed all of the work due this am and introduced next weeks assignments. We also checked out Livin with the Land for the hydroponics and ended with Kiribati island disappearing. Tomorrow we have an Ed Puzzle!

2/17 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed local/world events. We did the one in class part together that is tough to read and gave time for in class and current events. We did Unit 2 notes below and set up the global grid for battleship. 2/12 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed world/local events. We went over the work due this week - fantastic job by all classes! We made sure FID #4 and #5 was made available offline, continued our look at 9/11 with the memorial and the cleaning of the reflection pool, and did an Ed Puzzle on items for next week. We finished with a look at the Eiffel Tower POV and collected notebooks for Unit 1. We will see everyone Tuesday - have a great extended weekend - and all assignments due like normal next week on Wednesday and Thursday.
2/12 - For Thursday - I am collecting notebooks! Also you need headphones!

2/11 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed world/local events. We gave time for in class doc and reviewed today's current event submissions. We then showed our 9/11 video to this semesters classes that we showed to semester one classes. Tomorrow we will look at the museum as well as the reflecting pool in New York. Don't forget all work due tomorrow by 6am and bring headphones for our Ed Puzzle since so school Friday/Monday.
2/10 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed local/world events. We gave in class and ce time and reviewed where people are with IXL/Quizizz. We finished Unit 1 notes and introduced the final project. We also looked at the population clock. CE due by 6am tomorrow.

2/9 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed world/local events. We started the red book assignment and gave in class doc time. We worked on Unit 1 notes below and made a human condition goal for June. We also went over Law of Supply and Demand.

4. Anthropologists – study how cultures develop among humans. They examine culture, social customs, and beliefs and how they change over time.
5. Sociologists – explore human societies and how humans organize themselves in groups. They study social groups, social classes, and group behavior.
6. All of these scientists study the human condition and how people respond to the problems they face.

2/5 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed world/local events. We worked on Unit 1 notes below with notebook being due Thursday. We went over all the work due this am and introduced next weeks work. We also did an Ed Puzzle on Chichen Itza with another being done in class tomorrow plus a study hall to get items done with shorter classes in the am. The work completion this week was amazing versus last week - thank you and good job.

1/30 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed world/local events. The more world news you can watch, the better the conversations will be but I know it is hard to watch "kid" appropriate items. We worked on Unit 1 notes Letter B and did an Ed Puzzle on CN Tower and finished with a Blooket on the Wonders of the World that fits into our in class doc this week. Have a fantastic weekend.

1/28 - Today we reviewed all current event submissions and FID day work. We went over where scores come from as well as who owes what for FID come Friday. We gave time for in class doc and some that finished that started on their homework doc, Quizizz, or IXL. All items due tomorrow by 6am.
Tomorrow we will begin notes and take an Ed Puzzle so bring headphones.
1/26ish - OK - so another FID Day tomorrow (Tuesday 1/27) - use #3 FID. The new CNN10 will be out tonight around 8pm. Those of you that already wrote about the high building climber, you are all good. If you wrote about the rattlesnake or the storms, that was from Friday. I don't know what tomorrow's will be about but Tuesday will not be about the climber (That was today/Monday!) Have a great night and right now, we are at about 50% completion for the FID.
1/25 ish - Ok so tomorrow (MONDAY) is a DAY 4 on you should do FID #2. All of you should have that already downloaded and made offline. Essentially watch CNN10 and write a five sentence review. Then work on current event due Wednesday and then IXL/Quizizz/Hwk/In due Thursday but first go outside and have fun. FYI the CNN10 will probably be available around 8pm tonight if you want to do it early. I am available at any time via email for any questions or concerns about anything. Thanks.
1/23 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed world/local events. We reviewed ce topics and any submissions and went over any IXL, Quizizz, and HWK-IN questions. We did pages 2-6 in our powerpoint, found the red book atlas pages, and introduced the 9/11 terrorism unit. Please find out where your parents were and any other relatives on 9/11. Have a great and safe weekend or longer and make sure to do those FID days when they are assigned. Great first four days for all classes.

1/22 - Today we made all FID assignments available offline and watched CNN10. We discussed local and world events and introduced the assignments for next week. We found current event topics for all that were interested, did five answers to the homework doc of the nineteen, did five answers to the in class doc, reviewed where people are with the IXL and Quizizz, and discussed not plagiarizing nor using AI or Chat GPT or Google short answers for the current events.
1/21 - Today we reviewed what the assignment board is and looks like and watched CNN10 and discussed local/world events. We completed the SLO Quiz and went over what is expected for Quizizz, IXL, and Ed Puzzle. We started the All About Me page, worked on Bingo, and setup the Geographer's notebook with the world map and MR HELP. If you weren't here today, please do the SLO. You only get one attempt at it.
