3/6 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed local/world events. We did a map assessment and filled out our global grid as well as collected notebooks. We reviewed the work from last week and introduced next week's as well as looked at an ed puzzle on Machu Picchu.
3/4 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed world/local events. We finished up natural disasters #9 and #10 and worked on picking the country for their final project. We gave current event time and reviewed who is done what for Thursday. Enjoy your day off tomorrow!
3/3 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed world/local events. We introduced the final project with everyone putting their name on the doc and adding three countries of interest. We finished our Battleship grid game with quiz tomorrow on the grid. We also watched video 3,4 or 7.8 of natural disasters. Notebooks are due end of class Thursday.
2/28 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed world/local events. We finished Unit 2 notes with the notebook due Thursday containing the global grid and natural disaster reviews 1-10. We did an Ed Puzzle on Stonehenge and finished with a Blooket. Have a great and relaxing weekend.

2/20 - Today we watched World A to Z and discussed world/local events. We continued on Unit 2 notes below and got into the red book questions. We also did an Ed Puzzle on Eiffel Tower and checked out a POV on that as well as Livin with the Land that showed how farming and fishing goes together.

a. Floodplain – could flood but has fertile land.
b. Forest – no farming but use forestry industry.

2/19 - Today we watched World A to Z and discussed world/local events. We continued on Unit 2 notes below and the global grid. We examined a piece of the Kiribati video and reviewed all current event submissions and gave time for tomorrow's work due by 6am.

We looked at our powerpoint and red book latitude/longitude as well as begane the short terrorism unit. We finished with the Ed Puzzle on continents and oceans and looked at some map types. Everyone then had some time to start working on items due 2/5 and 2/6. Have a great weekend.
1/23 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed world/local events. We made sure everyone can get into their assignments and started on the in class and homework doc. We started the powerpoint slides on geography and looked into the atlas red book pages. Tomorrow the IXL and Quizizz will be available and we will look into the terrorism part of the red book. Don't forget to ask your parents about where they were on 9/11.
Remember - every day - assignment book, pencil, notebook and folder with our items in that folder, charged laptop, and headphones.
1/22 - Today we watched CNN10 and discussed world/local events. We need class participation for each class about things in the news or from their own lives. Otherwise, nightly news may become homework from 6:30-7pm. We took the SLO test and filled out their assignment book with the CE due 2/5, as well as S1/Q1/IN1/H1 due 2/6.Tomorrow, we will review all work due in two weeks and get into the red book as well as our geography powerpoint.
1/21 - Good first day! Everyone should be into our google classroom, as well as be able to access their IXL, Quizizz, and Ed Puzzles. Tomorrow we will review all work due in two weeks and take the class assessment as well as watch CNN10 and have a class discussion.
Remember each day to bring: pencil, assignment book, charged laptop, and your notebook/folder if it isn't already in the cabinets.
