What is Global Pathways?
The Andover High School Global Pathways Program is a series of experiences (over three years) for students and faculty to thrive as global citizen-scholars, in our complex, dynamic, and diverse global society. Students are guided by faculty advisors as they travel their global path through world language study, immersive travel, service learning, a Capstone Research Project, global course work, and other experiences that lead toward the Endorsement for Global Engagement.
Hello! My name is Victoria Morin and I am a senior at Andover High School. Welcome to my Global Portfolio!
I joined Global Pathways in my sophomore year of high school because I wanted to learn more about the world around me and ways in which we can improve it. I am someone who has always loved to travel and immerse myself in new cultures. Throughout my time in Global Pathways, I have developed a passion for healthcare equity. My role as a global scholar is to work towards the U.N Sustainable Goal #3, which is Good Health and Well-being. I hope to make healthcare more accessible to all people both locally and globally, which has truly driven my interest in public health. As you will see within my website, this passion has immensely influenced my activities outside of school—from volunteering in local communities to completing a service initiative in the Dominican Republic. It also motivated me to do my current Capstone project on malnutrition, a major public health issue. More specifically, I am really intrigued in the role that accessibility to healthcare services and education has on maternal and child malnutrition in the developing world. This interest of mine has influenced me to pursue public health in college, where I hope to develop my skill set further to address healthcare disparities worldwide.
