Sophomore Year

I will take clearer and better understanding notes for AP European History by November 6th. I want to work on focusing on main points instead or writing all the information down, and revising my notes after taking them. I will start practicing this tonight for homework.

I want to improve in my pronunciation for french and my understanding of the grammar by November 6th. To work on this I want to get extra help from my teacher and get a french tutor once a week for the rest of the year.

I will join a club at Westview to help me stay involved in my school community and gain community service hours. To complete this goal I will attend Club Rush events at Westview and sign up for clubs I am interested in. I will complete this goal by November 6th.

My goal was to take better focused notes to help me succeed in AVID and AP European History. I was able to accomplish this goal through learning that bullet notes and color coding work best for me. I also learned to write better and more efficient summaries to look back and study later.

My goal was to better understand how to speak and write in french. I believe that I improved in this goal but did not quite succeed. Because I did not accomplish my goal, I intend on spending more time on my french homework and getting help from my teacher at wolverine time.

My goal was to join a club at Westview. I did accomplish this goal by joining AVID exec. I am in the Connectivity Committee and I help plan AVID spirit days and events as well as present them to my class. I think I have done a good job in showing my leadership through this role.

This quarter I will stay ahead of my AP European History notes and ask more question in my revisions. I will set aside 2 hours extra hours 3x a week to revise and take notes. I will also ask my questions in class and answer them in my notes. I will start this goal tonight.

For this quarter I will bring my math grade up to a B. I plan on achieving this goal by spending more time on math problems. getting extra help from my teacher, and looking in to a math tutor to help me.

This quarter I will spend more time in community service and complete my 8 hours required for AVID. I will achieve this by researching more community service opportunities and attending them.

My goal was to stay ahead of my APEH notes and ask more questions in my revisions. I believe I succeeded in this goal as I asked more questions in my notes and in class which raised my understanding of the material.

My goal was to end quarter 2 with a B in math. I did not complete this goal as I focused more on my french and APEH class. Next time, I want to spend more time in math and reach out to get more help.

My goal was to complete 8 hours of community service and I achieved my goal by achieving 10 hours of community service. Something I did that I liked was I asked friends for community service opportunities which allowed me to find more to attend, instead of finishing them last minute.

I will take helpful and understood notes in french to review back on and study to reassure my understanding in speaking French. I will start today and complete this goal by April 2nd..

I will improve my APEH grade from a B to an A and spend more time and effort into understanding the material and prepare myself for AP testing. I will complete this by April 2nd

I will make at least 3 new friends in my chemistry class. I will talk to others I sit next too and invite others I don't know into group projects. I will complete this goal by April 2nd.

My goal was to become more self disciplined in studying French. I think I succeeded in achieving this goal as I now look forward to looking over my french notes and memorizing the vocabulary, and now I understand the language a lot better. Getting a French tutor to help me really helped me improve in the class and become more motivated to study.

My goal was to achieve an A in APEH by the end of the quarter. Unfortunately, I did not achieve this goal as I ended the quarter with a B. Something I could work on is reaching out for more help to gain more understanding on the material. Next quarter, I think I will look into a APEH tutor to help prepare me for the AP exam in May.

My goal was to gain 3 new friends in Chemistry by the end of the quarter. I believe I have achieved this goal as I did talk to 3 people that I didn't know. I was able to do this by sitting next to people I didn't know. This benefited me because I know 3 people in the class to help me understand the material we are learning.

I will start taking better notes in APEH that highlight main ideas and key terms, instead of writing all the information down. I will spend 1-2 hours improving my notes for one section every night. I will achieve this by June 9th.

I will try to improve my B in APEH to an A again. I will do this by setting aside 30min every night to understand the material I am learning. That way I can improve my grade and prepare for the AP exam. I plan on achieving this by June 9th

I plan on becoming more invested in the Westview ASL club and join another club with community service to help out my community more. I will get 8 hours of community service by June 9th. ,

My goal was to take more efficient notes for my APEH class to allow myself to grasp and understand the information I was learning. I believe I did achieve this goal as I began setting aside 2+ hours to dedicate myself to taking notes for APEH. I took extra time to highlight main ideas and concepts which ultimately prepared me for my AP exam.

My goal was to attain an A in my APEH class. I did not achieve this goal as I was setback to a C and worked through the quarter, to ending with a B. I believe that next time I try to achieve a higher letter grade in one of my classes I need to reach out from more help from my peers and take even more personal time to study the subject.

My goal was to join the Westview ASL club and achieve 8 hours of community service. I did achieve this goal as I am now an active member of the Westview ASL club, where I contribute by teaching others the language. I also reached 8 hours of community service by giving back to my community.
