Hi, my name is Lincoln and I’m a 6th grader at Data in Ed White middle school. I moved here 3 years ago from Utah for my dad’s law enforcement job. I loved the mountains and the snow there. I am the oldest of 4 kids. I have a younger brother and two sisters. I’m writing about my favorite things. They include collecting and playing Pokémon, learning about animals and yummy food.  However, I can’t stand lasagna, spiders, and the Pokémon lickitung.

I’ve liked Pokémon since I was 5.  Some of my friends introduced me to world of Pokémon. I can’t remember why I got into it but now the artwork and the suspense that comes with opening a booster pack is exciting. Some of my favorites are Gyarados, Rayquaza and Zapdos.I like Gyrarados because he evolved from the weakest Pokémon to the strongest. He was been a card since the beginning. Rayquaza and Zapdos were one of the first cards I have ever had. They are legendary (rare and powerful cards). Zapdos is one I hope to get when I open a pack.

I also love animals. They fascinate me because they are all so different and interesting. There is something being around animals that destresses me. Puppies just make me happy and calm. They are so cute when they are learning to bark or run.  Before coming to Texas, I visited my cousins in Washington state. One of their dogs had a litter of puppies and they would chase us around the farm. I love Lions because they are one of the first animals, I remember learning about. Growing up I watched and loved the movie the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I loved character of Aslan, played by a lion. Lions are powerful, smart and the only big cat with a mane. Black Panthers are also a favorite. Their coloring is one of my favorite colors and I would love to see one up close. They are rare to see and was used in my favorite Marvel movie.

Food has always been something that I have been picky about. When I was a baby, my mom had a very hard time getting me to try new foods.   Strawberries are something I have always loved. I love how some are sweet and some are sour, but all go good with Nutella. Nutella is an absolute favorite for as long as I can remember. I love it in a sandwich just bread and Nutella, on goldfish crackers, and pancakes. Nutella is something I always crave when I need something sweet. When I want something salty, I turn to Lays original potato chips. It must be Lays. I love the crunch, the amount of salt, and the size variation of the chips.

Pokémon, animals, and foods are just a few of my favorite things. When I am sad or down they can lift me up. We all need things that can help us be happy. As I grow I think these things will always be somewhere on my favorites list.
