In this unit we learned about the different types of Mixtures or a short period of time. We also took a deep dive into compounds and elements. Elements are made up of one single atoms, while compounds are multiple elements. We also learned about matter and how matter is anything that has mass.
Matter, Mixtures, and Elements
Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space.
Elements are made up of one single atoms while compounds are made up of different atoms/elements.
Heterogenous mixtures are like a salad they aren't chemically combined and you could pick them apart.
Homogenous mixtures are like lemonade mix in water you can't just pick it apart and they are chemically combined.
