For our first assignment, we made a banner for the Google Classroom and had our classmates vote on which one they wanted. Along with the banner, we had to write a paragraph as to why our banner should be chosen. Mine sadly wasn't chosen, but I still think it looks cool. I made this banner using Canva.
I was practicing how to use clipping masks for an assignment. I chosen an image and then made a clipping mask with a word that matches the image.
I made a poster with a quote on it. I added an image of Sisyphus in the background to go along with the quote.
For Mrs. Flowers last day at DATA, we made graphics for her. I made a penguin holding a sign because Mrs. Flowers loves penguins. Her room was covered in penguin plushies.
I used a custom brush pack to make a Starry Night Photo. After I was done with the first, I made a second with my own little twists.

I designed a cereal box with DATA as the theme.
The background says : 00100000 01011001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01100001 01110010 01100101 00100000 01100001 00100000 01100111 01100101 01101110 01101001 01110101 01110011 00100001.
I used a fall leave as an outline in Photoshop as practice using the brush tool. I made a cool gradient background using the brush tool and then using the Gaussian Blur filter.

I made a Spooky Silhouette for Halloween. I put a black-to-purple gradient background, a blood moon, a tree with tire swing, gravestones, crosses, a house, and ghosts.
I got to redesign a company's logo for a project and I chose Hawaiian Bros. On the top is the logo I made and on the bottom is the style guide I made for the redesign. The style guide explains why I decided to make the redesign look the way it does. I've included the first sketch I made of the new logo.
In Photoshop, I tried to make fire in a fireplace using the brush tool and some adjustment layers.

In Illustrator, I practiced using the pen tool to create different parts of a monster.
Note : I did not create the monster in the 4th image. It came along with the tutorial.
I also used a website called The Bézier Game to practice using the pen tool.
In Illustrator, I made my name in block letters as practice using the pen tool. To make the "A" I had to use the Pathfinder Tool Minus Front (subtracts from shape area) Shape Mode.
I used Photoshop to make a propaganda poster. I made my poster about missing work since this is a problem for many students. I edited a photo of Skyward to show how missing assignments can affect your grade. I used the Rhetorical Question and False Dilemma propaganda techniques to convey my message.
I used the symmetry tool in Photoshop to make three symmetrical snowflakes. I made the background by using the brush tool to draw splotches in different shades of blue and then use the Motion Blur effect on them. For the mini snowflakes, I turned my three snowflakes into brushes and then adjusted the settings. Click here to download them!
This is a bingo card I made in Photoshop to study for my semester final.
I used Adobe Express to create an ugly holiday sweater.
To re-familiarize myself with Premiere Pro, I made a video of a beach being invaded by aliens.
In Premiere Pro, I made a commercial for a company called Press Cafe. I was given a folder with video assets in it. I used only these assets to make the commercial. Click here to view the assets.
For Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I took one minute of his "I Have A Dream" Speech and made a video of it. Click here to read the entire speech.
Shot 1 - Wide Shot : Shot from some distance and if filming a person, the full body is shown
Shot 2 - Medium Shot : Shot from a medium distance from the object being filmed and shows the person from the waist up
Shot 3 - Establishing Shot : Sets the scene and is used to establish setting and to show transitions between locations
Shot 4 - Close-Up : The entire frame is filled with the actor's face, important detail, or object
I used Google Slides to make task cards about the Stages of Production.
I researched Tacoma, Washington for a project. This is the poster I made to convince people to visit Tacoma, Washington.
Note : I image traced a photo of Mount Rainier.
The original photo can be found here.
I was given one class period to edit together a short video. I was given the videos and nothing else. I had to find sound effect and background music. It was stressful, but I managed to turn it in on time.
For my Virtual Tour Project, I made a three minute tour of Tacoma, Washington. This video goes along with the poster I made.
For Teacher Appreciation Week, I made 3 thank you cards for 3 teachers (MC, Ibarra, Jones). I sent them these cards through an email. The emails had a message attached for each teacher.
