I had to pick a photo of a teacher and edit it. I chose to edit a photo of Ms. Jones (Digital Media I). I made her into "Nurse Jones" because I thought her shirt looked like something a nurse that works in the pediatric (children) unit would wear.

I used two camera simulators to play around with different camera settings. I switched between the P (Program), Av (Aperture), Tv (Shutter Speed), and M ( Manual) modes to get these different pictures. Switching to the Av or Tv mode will allow you to edit that one setting. Switching to the P mode will automatically choose the right settings for you. Switching to the M mode will allow you to edit all of the settings like aperture, shutter speed, exposure, ISO, etc.
I was tasked to take a DATA teacher a turn them into a superhero. I decided to make Mr. Evans as Spiderman and recreated the meme.

I used Photoshop filters to create a cartoon effect on an image of myself. I put the cartoon version of me on 6 different backgrounds.
I took photos of Noah with five different portrait lightings. They are called Broad, Butterfly, Loop, Rembrandt, and Split.
Broad - The subject is faced away from the light source and illuminates one side of the subject’s face.Â
Butterfly - The light source is centered above the subject and creates a shadow below their nose and chin.Â
Loop - The light source is above the subject, but at a 45° angle and creates a short shadow around one side of the face.
Rembrandt - The light source is angled to one side of the subject’s face and creates a triangle on the opposite side of the subject’s cheek.Â
Split - The light source is perpendicular to the subject and makes one side of their face dark and other light.Â
These are the exact settings of each photo in order.
I made a poster for Ms. Perez for Hispanic Heritage Month. I put a quote and some answers to questions people might have about her. I edited the portrait of her in Lightroom, but added everything else such as the text and images in Photoshop. Note : I did not take that picture of Ms. Perez.

The 20 words I used are awesome, cool, creative, bright, cheerful, witty, courageous, fun, adventurous, clever, elegant, considerate, dedicated, compassionate, lovely, genuine, diligent, magical, interesting, and wonderful. I think these words accuratly describe Mrs. Leyva.
I designed two shoes with my business as the theme. The first shoe is more blue while the second shoe is more green. I used Photoshop to make the shoes to make the shoes and put them on models. For the first model, I had to erase part of the shoe since it was behind the model's leg. For the second model, I had to use the Warp Transform to make the shoe look more natural on the model's feet.
For my semester final, I took the shoes I created for my business and made an advertisement for them. The ad is called "Super Supportive Sneakers" with a recurring theme of how the shoes are supportive. I used Canva to make the video and Photoshop to edit some of the photos. I made the music in the background for the video using BeepBox. Click here to listen to the music at full volume and here for another background music I made that I thought of using but didn't.
I used Canva to turn my teachers into elves for the holidays. I made Mr. Marc-Charles into Santa since he already had the coat. All I had to do was recolor his outfit and add a few details.
I used Illustrator to create a Christmas tree. I made custom brushes to create the dots and stars in between the lines.
As a warm up, Mrs. Leyva gave us the question, "How do you think graphic design and fashion design work together to create the trends we see every day?" My response to the question was, "By combining graphic and fashion design, you can make outfits that draw attention which creates a trend. Graphic design is about creating designs to are or aren't aesthetically pleasing which can help to create trends we see everyday. Fashion design is about the things that make an outfit work and look nice or the things that make it the complete opposite. Whether an outfit looks great or horrible, it's interesting which makes people want to talk about it or even wear it. " Afterwards, we created a slide with photos of our "style."
As a part of our fashion unit, we had to create a silhouette of a person and then create two outfits to put on them. I decided to make a formal and casual outfit.
I create a paper doll with interchangeable outfits. I chose three of my outfits and made a video of them. I like to call it the "St. Valentine's" outfit collection.
We did a class fashion show. My group was with Sofia Wilmot, David Torres, and Dominic Castro. Dominic named our outfit the Blue Cheetah.
We had a week where we tried out different tools and effects in Illustrator.
You know what time of year it is! That's right! The time to make a DATA t-shirt!
I made a poster for Ms. Johnson for Black History Month. I put a quote and edited the portrait of her in Lightroom. I added everything else such as the text and images in Canva. Note : I did not take that picture of Ms. Johnson.
